Hi

I had a dose of teeth whitening at the dentist - and jolly good it is too.

I had both the laser and the gel.

On ringing the dentist to get more gel - I was told it was 25 per tube.

Is there anywhere else I can locate the gel from ?

thanks

No, if you buy on ebay etc you risk ending up with ste that will strip your enamel.

£25 is peanuts compared to what you have already paid, maintain your smile properly!

I am a heavy tea and coffee drinker ... so the nice white gets tarnished quite quickly :-(

Yes you can get it cheaper on the internet. We all had ours done by the dentist and now maintain the whiteness through buying opalescence or the net. It is excellent stuff if not the stuff dentists use.
All i'd say is stick to the 10% for uses overnight or maybe even 15% but no higher as sensitivity becomes a problem.

Really there is a vast amount of money to be saved this way. I stick to 10% and have had brilliant results. Col (Clyde) uses 15% as it doesn't cause him discomfort.

I just pulled this site up randomly but if you shop around you can get very good deals. Just stick to Opalescence smile

I wouldn't recommend it had i not tried it on myself. As i say i think its the stuff my dentist uses. In fact come to think of it he advised we didnt pay there prices and tried online. He is an excellent dentist smile

Well i was advised by my dentist to buy that and its excellent. Just sharing my experience and giving the OP an option. I have been using it for years and my teeth are in great condition and very white.

interesting...as these items in UK are classified as mecial products....thus cannot/should not be sold on the net and most certainly should not be transported by non licenced carriers...oh and import duty/taxes. So all-in-all ...ILLEGAL.

but thats just me..maybe you are happy to risk prosecution.

Well its worked for me. The OP asked a question, i gave my answer. It may not be for everyone. It was not ment to offend anyone however it is my opinion and i shared my experience. End of. Anyone wanting to start slinging mud at me please don't bother. I'm totally uninterested rolleyes
OP go ahead and pay full price at the dentist, it seems the only acceptable thing to do on this thread rolleyes

Fair play(I'm a dentist) - most of it if branded is from factory/stollen though.most eBay stuff comes from the sane state in the USA where is produced - go figure.

But if you play ignorant then commuting crime isn't such a bad thing o guess.

The only thing I would worry is whether yours is the real stuff.best case would be slightly burnt gums, worst case no teeth/mouth cancer?!
Btw you don't need that much of it just occasional boast- one tube should do at least 2/3 night both arches (2.2ml tube)
Also it all has a certain half life so buying something that has sat around will be more like 6% rather than 16%. This is why the enlighten system was so effective at half the normal strength-direct frozen pack from the manufacturer. I know we only stock small amounts at s time for this reason

It wasn't an offer it was my take on it. I have never knowingly supported crime of any kind and never will. I simply answered the OP's question. Just because my answer wasn't what you wanted to read doesn't make it wrong. It just makes it "my answer". Freedom of speach and all that rolleyes

Anyway apologies if any offence was taken, as that was not intended.
I think i'll go back to V8's and leave the dental thing alone hehe

This may be a dumb question....

If you have crowns and implants does whitening still work or do you get different shades on different materials? So would your proper teeth be all sparkly and the crowns be just the same?

From what little I know, the whitening does not work on crowns, and you need to have a new one made in the whiter shade.

Yep, crowns, fillings stay the same, natural tooth changes
