Anyone else had the sicks and sh*ts lately?

Is this going round or something? Tuesday morning about 3am it was like a scene from the exorcist.
Mid morning I was so hot while sitting on the bog, I got up, passed out and banged my head on the door.
After that episode I spent all of Tuesday and some of Wednesday camping out on the toilet floor.
I am only just getting over it. So, anyone else?

Hard to say but I think you can pick up bugs like this. Recall it twice - once when I had just started my postgrad and and I spent 2 or 3 days passed out / throwing up / stting through the eye of a needle. Vaguely recall sitting amongst several binbags full of rubbish outside a chemist in Shepherds Bush waiting for it to open!
Second time was a couple of years ago after a day out at Blenheim. Very similar, took several days to recover and it was just before a very important few days of work I had to fly out to Dublin for. Not much fun.
Anyway, my point is that I think you can just catch these things, doesn't have to be from food.

Something along the lines of Norovirus.... had it the other week, after a trip to hospital with my son (there was some sign or other up about it).... Mrs SWH avoided it mostly, thankfully, given she was pregnant at the time, and I was out for the count for a few days... proper nasty stuff. Finally eased up after 3 days of minimal sleep for SWH Jnr.2 to arrive the following evening, good timing chap.
It did descend into a humiliating farce where I pulled all the muscles on one side of my back, vomiting, no, picking up my 21mth old son, no.... reaching round to grab some bog roll, following a 3am, err, outburst, where the cool breeze from the bathroom window (I was initially glad of it) had chilled my back - I ended resembling a character who'd taken a wrong turn from the Thriller video... thrilled I was not.

This has been going around. Bad news for OP is many have had it, got rid foor about a week, then it comes back! Also some have symptoms with a very bad but unproductive cough.
Our whole fmaily had it over the last 6 weeks and the coughing really gets on your tits after a while.
Thats exactly how mine started. An annoying cough followed by a chest infection. Our whole fmaily had it over the last 6 weeks and the coughing really gets on your tits after a while.
I dont like the idea of it coming back So I am not immune to whatever it is then?
I've been ill with something pretty much most of last week, fortunately it's only been coming out one end, so have been perched on the loo rather a lot, seems a little better now, but still a bit dodgy. At least I am now able to get on with other stuff, rather than hovering near the bathroom all the time.
