Has anybody here ever removed a skin tag themselves? If so what is the easiest way to do it?
Thanks

Tweezers, surgical scalpel, gauze. Should do the trick with a little pain.

Or go see your GP and make up some stuff about how it chafes and makes life extremely uncomfortable. They will send you to the relevant place to have it removed. (I'm not sure if it is available on the NHS any longer - but some GP surgeries do get extra to provide minor surgery).

Yes, i had one on the back of my neck that was always caught when i had my hair cut. I tried twisting it off, tying it off with cotton etc. The only thing that worked was the wart freezing stuff, i didn't feel a thing and after treating it, it fell off and never came back. I got the OH to apply the freezing liquid - i trust her biggrin Just don't do it near anything sensitive, eg eyes or bks!

Cheers guys. How painful is the nail clipper way? If I was to use the thread how long does it take to fall off generally?

I have a few under my armpit. Considering fishing wire to 'dock' them like a dog's tail.

Any thoughts?

go to your gp easy and if small he will freeze them easy plus no mucking about yourself

if bigger he will refer you to specialist to get shaved still easy

Tried this but used a strand of the wifes hair. It hurt more than I expected but did work.

I usually just twist mine until they come off, only issue with that is that you sometimes have a little stump left. Nail clippers do the job very well (as does catching the one on your neck in the seatbelt, sliced it clean off smile )

The ONlY way is nail clippers....you'll feel stupid for not doing it sooner (more so if you faff about with string!)

Ice cube on it for 2 mins and snip...plaster on ... Job done.

Hurts more having your hair cut!
