How long till the £20k Evora?
Discussion
The worst thing to happen to you as a car owner is to start worrying about mileage... Just drive it, enjoy it and forget about the number above the dials. I've had a number of big miles cars from various manufacturers, I honestly think they've been better than the new/low miles ones. The obsession with mileage in this country is nuts!
I agree re the prices rises - I recently had delivered a 2013 sport racer manual which I am in love with but ended up paying more than I wanted - but did serious man maths and moved on it before Someone else did - glad I did - it’s stunning and really looking forward to the summer now 😀

Congratulations on bagging that one Aqua, and great photo angle.Just to comment on the deposit thing, I wonder why he ended up in court. I once had a buyer leave me a £500 deposit on a car once, I organised to get the MOT done, get it taxed and some other minor work as agreed. I did that, let the guy know and that's when he told me he couldn't raise the funds and could he have his £500 back?
Now perhaps it's just me but it wouldn't even cross my mind to ask for the deposit back, what do they think a deposit is exactly? What I ended up doing was giving him a part-refund of a couple of hundred which meant that I wasn't out of pocket with the other work he wanted me to get done. I was of the opinion he could swing for the full £500 but the wife convinced me otherwise...
People eh?

This one is £23,500 if you pick it up (from Budapest), or £24,500 delivered.
144,000 miles!!!
Reading the spec though, this is a pretty special car. If it was a standard NA car without the +2, this would be £20k surely.

Shows where the market is that this 144k mile car is "reasonably priced" at over £20k. This would have been £15-17k a couple of years ago and a worthy fit for the thread title.
I agree face value that looks reasonable ; 144k at £24k given not many options. I’ve been contemplating selling mine, but I get questioned for it being high mileage at c.60k

It's funny isn't it? Folk want the car to have 20k on a car that is 10 years old. What are they then going to do with it? Drive it once a year so they don't put more miles on it?I’ve been contemplating selling mine, but I get questioned for it being high mileage at c.60k
It's a Lotus not a Ferrari, it's supposed to be driven!

Looks like high miles Launch Editions are back in the mid-upper 20’s where they were in 2015. So, how long until they are £20k?

…I think the Evora will follow a similar path to the Esprit and (eventually) drop down to sub-£10K. I don't think it'll plateau at 30% of original value like the Elise has simply because the Elise has a niche market to itself while an Evora will always be up against a large number of older 911's and Caymans…
How wrong I was! I did eventually snag a Sports Racer for £31k (and sell it for £27k… don’t come to me for investment advice!) but since then things went very mad indeed. It now looks like the cycle is reversing again and maybe one day another Sports Racer might fall within my reach.Looks like high miles Launch Editions are back in the mid-upper 20’s where they were in 2015. Don't be so hard on yourself. £30k is the new £10k.moribund said:
