There are more <£30k Evoras on autotrader than I think I have seen at any time.

What is more staggering is the number of Emiras for sale. Must be most of those already delivered are on the market. Still not sure how I feel about cancelling my i4 order.

I think there still a delay in the car market - many are still 'holding'. I did expect more movement in the Evora market though, we're edging closer to the £70k Emira...and I've gotta wonder who'd buy a GT410 for £65k when an Evora isn't much more. Only factor could be the Evora can be had in 2+2 config.

The Evora being 2+2 is a big draw for me. But if I was at around 65k I'd look to find a way to bridge the gap to an Emira.

er 43 on AT. I think Lotus may have delivered just a few more than that!

I was being slightly facetious but it does perhaps show the extent of flippers that targeted this car. Reviews are generally positive so I can’t believe that many people are selling due to being disappointed with the car.

This is what we’re up against - 8 years old, not been serviced for 3 years and already bid up to nearly £50k! (Admittedly it’s immaculate)

Great to see Evoras getting this level of love even now tbh.

Yes understood. By comparison, there are 32 GT4s 2022 or newer on AT at the moment. A similar number?

Didn't go any higher and missed its reserve at £48,500.

The colour must have been worth a premium to at least 2 people but clearly not worth what the owner feels it's worth.

It seemed high for an S when there are a few lowish mile 400s ranging from 49-51 on AT.

The reserve must have been very ambitious, to me £48k feels like more than enough to secure that car, even with its low miles and unique colour.

The fact that someone was prepared to bid that much gives credence to some of the prices being asked by dealers. These are amazing residuals for a car which was less than £70k new and has long been superseded by newer and arguably better versions.

Looks like the regular £20k Evora is as far away now as it was when I started this thread!

Just recently bought an Evora 400 - My second Lotus after an S2 111S Elise a good few years ago now. I came from an Alpine A110 which I did like a lot but for a few reasons only kept for a couple of months:

- Current major reliability concerns over the fuel pump which Alpine are refusing to address in any meaningful way, these are failing in often quite dangerous situations and the lack of input from the brand is pretty shocking.
- I really really missed a manual box, autos are great for the daily but it has to be a manual for my second car, the DCT in the A110 is lightning fast but just lacking engagement for me, it felt kind of silly using the paddles as the auto does the job so much better than I ever could so I just rarely used them.
- I have a toddler and another baby on the way so the 2+2 config of the Evora is very helpful.

So far I adore the Evora, the steering, the tactility, and the power delivery are all immediately preferable for me over the Alpine. I also love the looks of the 400 and whilst I've historically been a French car nut, Lotus means more to me as a brand than Alpine too.

We hired the track at Bicester last week just a few days after I got the car and it was brilliant fun on track too. All in all i'm feeling really good about the change so far. Before the Alpine I had a classic 911 which I loved but was becoming rather high maintenance and had let me down a few times, I love old cars but with my family situation I was looking for something with modern reliability that provides a real connection to the road in as similar a way as a classic does, the Alpine for all its positives just wasn't that car, the Evora feels like it just might be close (Obviously i've only had it a very sort time so no actual idea how reliable it will be, but my car has a full Lotus History and a great maintenance record, I'll certainly continue to give it the appropriate TLC so with any luck it won't be a troublesome ownership experience.

Here it is in the hangar at Bicester last week after a rather moist lap!

Well that's the first time I've heard someone buy a Lotus seeking modern reliability biggrin

Looks a great car and interesting comparison with the Alpine.

I had 2 Evoras, in total did >100k miles. They were totally reliable, the odd niggle eg A pillar trims but that is not the same as unreliable.

I did long road trips across europe and used them as daily drivers. Great cars, comfy quick and reliable

Ha ha, you're not the first person to say that! I mean it's a pretty decent powertrain and the majority of key components are strong - Sure there might be some trim issues but that's not going to leave me stranded or worse immediately losing power in the fast lane of the M6 (Appreciate this could happen with any car, things will always fail after all).

Great to hear! Fingers crossed I have a similar experience with mine :-)

It’s a Toyota V6 at the end of the day.

Sure, trim etc might need some patchwork, but fundamental reliability should be very good.

Mine just went through 'first-in-my-ownership' service and MOT with no advisories @ 60K miles.

I had asked them to look at the interior button for boot release because it wasn't working while the key button was... and that's how I learnt that apparently the interior button requires that the handbrake be on... I usually leave it at home without the handbrake on to stop brakes binding, and of course that's almost the only time I might use the boot release. Felt like an idiot... But hey, nothing broken bar my pride! smile

Is this the modified one which was for sale a few weeks back? If so it looked like a peach… gutted to have missed out on it!

Not this one, this is a standard car... hopefully still a peach though!

Looks lovely. Is there a sort of warm/good tint to that silver? I think they really suit the lighter shades and bright colours.

I watched Harry's garage Evora 400 review and it was the a110 he compared it to. I hadn't really thought about them being comparable (v6 v i4 2+2 v 2), but on reflection it makes sense.

I test drove an a110 when they first came out. I thought it was great but it was distinctly "new" feeling. I'm not good enough a driver or writer to explain that better without using all the clichés.
