Getting closer, but not there yet. This looks nice for the miles at £25k:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2017...

This seems cheap for what it is. Obviously not £20k but is the plentiful supply of 400's starting to depress prices for the S1 Evora?

That's my old car. Wonder why he is selling? I sold it last Autumn.
I did wonder if it was yours, being grey and not many with those miles. Looks in good nick.

Well three years after starting this thread Evoras are STILL around £30k

It is s..l..o..w..l..y starting to change IMO, launch cars need to be good to command any more than £30k now and (slightly rough) supercharged cars are starting to show up at £35k. Mileage sensitivity is massive too.

Still must be one of the slowest depreciating cars out there that isn’t a classic or high-end limited edition.

At last! I think that car was advertised for a couple of grand more a week or so ago?

That combo of colour and miles is not for me, but the condition looks as good as many with a third of the miles. So many seem tatty inside and the dashboard is often a disaster area of bubbling leather and warped panels. Damn you Lotus for your penny-pinching.

As I think I posted before, house move and other stuff means I can't buy at the moment but I look longingly at the classifieds daily. There is a an absolutely lovely chrome orange car for sale in Bristol at the moment for under £30k and what looks like a nice white one in Northern Ireland which has just popped up too.

PS. Anyone want to buy my Elise? It'll warm and be sunny soon, I promise...

True. The “supercharged” orange IPS in Wakefield is mislabelled too, its actually NA as far as I can tell ( although dvla have it as an S). There is another orange car in Bristol with similar miles but seemingly better condition.

I’m actually the OP by the way. Pennies were saved some time ago but priorites change unfortunately!

NA = Yes
S = £35k to hit your requirements.

Blueg33 - I see your old one is back up for sale on Autotrader. Looks good value - how much would it be to fix the airbag/dash I wonder?

Interesting - that’s a lot cheaper than I thought and in that case it’s surprising how many still have them popped open. Hard to imagine spending £30k on a car and the first thing your friends see is the interior appearing to be in pieces.

OP here. Well, hopefully not going to jinx anything but over 3 years after starting this thread I might have an Evora by next weekend biggrin

A few things to sort yet, and it's certainly NOT a £20k car. Will report back once it's mine!

Well I'm a very happy man biggrin

After several careful owners (and one racing driver...), this is now mine - it's a 2013 Evora Sports Racer, 2+2, normally aspirated, totally standard. It needed a good clean and still needs a good polish but it's just great.

Already impressed by it's breadth of abilities and the sound and power from the NA 275bhp engine has far exceeded my expectations - the switchable exhaust on the NA Sports Racer seems a lot more fruity than earlier cars!

Thanks! Still can't quite get my head around it. I need a proper extended B-road drive in it ASAP, the small sections of twisty road I've driven so far have been intoxicating.

Mine was done by previous owner at 45k miles, a bit early compared to family car but ok for performance car imo.

Amazing!

Oh no, that means it’s had at least two racing driver owners!

The chap I bought it from runs a company making bag tanks for anything up to and including F1 cars and was an amateur racer.

I’m not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing for the condition of my car scratchchin I’’ll go with “good thing”!

When did you own it?

Yes it was Giles at ATL so you probably do know him!

Very much enjoying it, although it’s spending too much time motorway commuting at the moment. Putting that right with a trip to Skye in a few weeks and I’d love to take it to the Alps next year.

It’s actually still in great condition and I’m very pleased with it. At 48k its higher mileage than most Evoras but seems better for it as every thing works as it should. With (now aging) PPF I assume from new and the obvious care taken inside it’s showing very little wear.

Thanks for posting, it’s great to fill in some blanks in its past.

How long until the £20k Evora? 3.5 years is the answer!

An outlier for sure, it looks an absolute bargain.

That eBay car really does look Interesting.

Need to consider bushes, bearings and shocks at those miles but it seems really quite tidy for an entry level price.
