How long till the £20k Evora?
Discussion
I think you'll need a test drive Nathan, I think you're right to raise personal taste.
The Evora IMO is very well resolved with lots of feedback but not edgy at all - it's not a car you'd seek out for those spikes of adrenaline you'd get from keeping a hard-driven TVR out of the hedges for example

I can agree with that.
I remember coming over a crest in the Dales to find a much sharper drop and a much tighter turn than I was expecting, witnessed by deep grooves in the tarmac where previous victims had landed. I thought I was doomed but the Evora just shrugged it off without even a wiggle.
The limits on dry roads were so high I never breached them. I actually like that in a car, but I can appreciate there are those who don't. I think the earlier cars on smaller wheels were both a bit more comfortable and bit more expressive on the road but I don't have the personal experience to confirm that.

Looks like high miles Launch Editions are back in the mid-upper 20’s where they were in 2015. So, how long until they are £20k?

…I think the Evora will follow a similar path to the Esprit and (eventually) drop down to sub-£10K. I don't think it'll plateau at 30% of original value like the Elise has simply because the Elise has a niche market to itself while an Evora will always be up against a large number of older 911's and Caymans…
How wrong I was! I did eventually snag a Sports Racer for £31k (and sell it for £27k… don’t come to me for investment advice!) but since then things went very mad indeed. It now looks like the cycle is reversing again and maybe one day another Sports Racer might fall within my reach.Looks like high miles Launch Editions are back in the mid-upper 20’s where they were in 2015. Getting closer! Looks like a lovely car. I spy a little airbag cover lift though, would need to get that fixed.
I wonder when the downward pressure from the dozens of Emiras for sale will have an effect? Dealers are still asking £45k+ for an 8 year old SportsRacer IPS and £70k for various 4 year old GT410's which seems ... hopeful?

This is what we’re up against - 8 years old, not been serviced for 3 years and already bid up to nearly £50k! (Admittedly it’s immaculate)

Great to see Evoras getting this level of love even now tbh.

The reserve must have been very ambitious, to me £48k feels like more than enough to secure that car, even with its low miles and unique colour.
The fact that someone was prepared to bid that much gives credence to some of the prices being asked by dealers. These are amazing residuals for a car which was less than £70k new and has long been superseded by newer and arguably better versions.
Looks like the regular £20k Evora is as far away now as it was when I started this thread!
