Newbee - premium pack or not?
Discussion
Motorsport green is stunning, see it in the sun. If I were buying I'd have had a serious look at this car but it has been on the market for quite some time (I'd say possibly upwards of 9 months),. It has just had £3k knocked off the asking price.
One of the dealers on SELOC made a comment that whilst nice he described it as a difficult sell because of the colour combination and he seems to have been proved right.
For me, go for it, but those in the know have warned of potential resale problems, as above.

I've just seen this one I like the spec and price, but I've not seen this colour in real life - what's the general consensus (ignoring that colour choice is very subjective....)

Also, how hard has it been for owners to source the forged alloys - do they need to come
From lotus as I'm guessing that's rather pricey.....
This car is just a few miles from where I live and it was upon viewing this that I decided to dump my search for an Elise SC and instead go for an Evora. I must admit that I didnt like the combination of internal and external colour but I did like the feel and felt very at home straight away. On closer inspection it looked like the passengers side rear wheel arch had a very slight dink in it and on the opposite side there looked like a paint ripple, probably from doors opening into it. The sales guy was not the friendliest person and dismissed my observations..... I went to see another with all 3 packs at the same price, but this time in black, which looked like a better combination. http://www.motorhouseofhertfordshire.co.uk/used-ca...http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/l...

The body work looked ok but the drivers seat needed some work doing on it to repair the leather from a small 2-3 inch wear mark, it also had a chip in the windscreen right in my eye line. I very nearly bought it for sub 29........ After a few nights thinking I decide that black was not for me, my last car Cayman S was black and it was time to move on, plus I felt the Evora needed to be bolder. The other thing playing on my mind was that I wanted to have a warranty that actually meant something and so decided to concentrate my efforts with the dealers. I contacted several looking for a Red, Yellow, White or Lazer Blue, with the 3 Packs but with a different interior. It turned out there were 2 cars around, but sadly not in my price range Looking at cars with a Tech and Sport Pack combo opened up a few more cars and I found one that really suited my needs (desires). I think I did about 600 miles in total going to look at Evoras, but worth it to get a feel for what you really want. I'd definitely phone a few dealers and tell them what your after.
Hey - thanks for the insight. I may still go and see it as I've only tried 2 cars so far and that was a £45k car and well out of budget, and the other 1 wasn't for me.
I'm pretty resound to it being a long process now - shame I missed out on the grey one at murrays, it was perfect!
One has just come up on eBay - a white one with 40k on the clock. Could be interesting, but I do prefer the grey or silver if I was to be picky!

Regarding "dinks" they are not... It's made of fibreglass so doesn't suffer car park dings... There are two dimples in rear clam that look like it but are not... See discussion here....

The motorsport green one in Williams is actually my car on sale or return. I'm actually rather conflicted, as it was put up for sale last year following the birth of our second son. You can't fit a backward facing seat in the back (easily) and I would still quite like to have the car back!
A lot of the niggles were sorted under warranty at Bell & Colville - gear cables, updated mapping software, water ingress, replacement leather dash panels and rear lights. It is a very nice car, as others have said with a colour combination that puts some off. The exterior is stunning and TBH one of the best colours out there. The paprika is maybe not my first choice, but makes it feel special compared to a non-premium pack interior.
Chip in the windscreen happened on the drive home from when I bought it - and was repaired via insurance.
Send me a PM if you have any other questions.

That car has been for sale since i bought mine in June '14. Not to say there is anything wrong with it but it's been up for a while. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/l...

Yep Evora is covered in dimples depending on angle of light, but there's always a matching one on the other side of the car at same point.http://www.thelotusforums.com/forums/topic/73811-c...
On the exterior colour, my Evora is Motorsport Green and I love it. On an overcast day it looks like a classic "British Racing Green" but when the sun comes out it turns into a myriad of different greens depending on the angle of viewing and the surface. I've loved the colour ever since I saw a new Evora Sports Racer in Motorsport Green in JCT600 in Leeds. They may sitill have it in the showroom if you want to see the colour - if they haven't sold it since April when I was in last.
I have the black interior with mine and I saw the Evora with Paprika interior when I was looking a couple of months ago but it isn't a combo I felt I could live with - although I haven't seen that colour interior in the flesh only images in ads.
