Absolutely. I had an N/A and drive a 400 now. I would be quite happy to go back to an N/A. To be honest the 400 is too quick to enjoy the performance in most places if you wish to keep your licence.

Personally I would have either the N/A or the 400. I never had any problems keeping up with an S in my N/A so for me the increased running costs aren’t justified.

For the increased cost of an S get an N/A, ditch the pre cats for a single sport cat exhaust and possibly a CAI and you’d be close to 300 bhp anyway.
Good to know, i guess the base Evora does seem to make sense. It will also be my daily driver.

I was also considering an alfa 4c. My only worry with the 4c is that i had an elise as a daily for 5 years and the thought of going back to the impracticality of something like an elise is a little off putting. But with the 4c it is a lot newer, faster and relatively cheap to run. Also there is an alfa dealer near me but no real lotus specialist and running the elise was often just a bit problematic when finding people to work on it.

I liked the 4c until I got in one. Interior just feels cheap to me.

As a daily there is a huge difference in fuel costs between an N/A and an S. Not just the MPG, but the S requires premium fuel. My N/A ran better on 95. Also I understand that they overfuel the S to help keep temperatures down, so exacerbates it in traffic as a daily. For me and a daily, the N/A every time, unless you can go to a 400, which returns similar mileage to the N/A, and the tyres last a lot longer. All in all, probably the cheapest to run.

Did 20k + in my N/A and just over 14k so far in my 400 so do know the comparisons.

Blueg33 runs an S as a daily and used to have an N/A so his views would be useful.

I don’t think the main difference between an NA and an S is the peak bhp, it’s more about the low down and midrange torque and then it’s a matter of personal preference.

If you like a revy car that you have to work hard (many do) then an NA is a better choice. If you like a grunty car that gives a choice of gears etc then an S will be the better choice. That makes the way the cars drive quite different.

I don’t think you’re ever going to feel short changed in any of them.

, you can feel the weight of the supercharger sitting on top the engine and to me this makes the rear feel less secure.
And the extra torque definitely makes the rear a bit less secure. Some will like that and some won’t. Both are very secure compared to most front engined / rear drive cars off course.

I think i am settled on an N/A evora. I am hoping to get around 13k in px for my cayman s 2006 to go towards the price of the car. Personally i think it is reasonable since the car is in good condition with 75k miles and a recent clutch flywheel change and ims check.

This sport pack comes with a black roof and side skirts. Is this a wrap or sprayed at the factory. I like the look of the black pack from the sports pack and was wondering if you can get that same look on an n/a car that doesn't have it?

The Sports Racer black pack is painted (on my car at least). Black roof, side under the doors, door mirrors and diffuser all in phantom black.

Some people have used a wrap to get the look.
