How about because its a Circa UKP50k mid-(sort of)engined sports coupe, with effectively (as you admit), 2 seats, and a very high level of performance and chassis dynamics. It therefore makes sense to compare it with the best similar car in the market, and not to fall for Lotus' or EVO's BS about being a 911 competitor.
