I still want one of these more than any other car on the market bar the new mcLaren. It is the best car I have driven in so long.
the issue is the quality of various bits was not up to the asking price and used they aren't looking to be much cheaper when I'm due to change.

I picked up the car yesterday, haven't really driven it yet, 200 miles mainly on the motorway coming home, plus a little bit around and about, so first impressions are a little bit thin.

  • nice as a motorway cruiser, quiet and refined, although the super high 6th gear will take some getting used to as it requires a change down to make any progress (not really a torque issue as the car's only doing about 1,700 rpm at 70mph). The return is 36mpg average on the run home.
  • pleasantly surprised that we can get both small people in the back (6 and 2)
  • am starting to get the hang of the radio thing
  • only a few rattles so far (certainly no more than a BMW)
  • interior a nice surprise without the premium pack (assuming the little confusion with the rear seat material gets sorted)
  • 4,000 rpm running in regime is a touch on the teasing side...
Picture doesn't really do it justice, but you get the idea.

I hope you can keep us upto date with how it goes over the next few months. Might even tempt a few others to part with their hard earned.
