My Evora Review + Pictures So Far - Long Read!

Really great additions to an awesome car. Looks fantastic Justin!
I bet it feels like you've bought a new car doesn't it?
What are your thoughts on painting the lower lip/splitter on the front bumper in black too?
Personally I think it will really compliment the barge boards tbh!
And I also really like the look of the barge boards without the additional sill paint detail ie sports racer style!
I paid for my barge boards and other gtn bits today!
Lotus motorsport said they could send it all out tomorrow for monday delivery but i said no, please send out monday for tuesday delivery. I Don't want the best part of £3k worth of kit sat in some courier companies depot over the weekend, not a chance!!!
So Gtn bits being Delivered Tuesday next week and thats before I've even collected the car! lol

Another small update from me
We decided to go on a small road trip this weekend for a concert up towards the North of Scotland, and normally we would just take my girlfriend's Mini, but we chose to take the Evora and go over the scenic route. I wanted to give it a good run now that its out of warranty and its just had a full geometry refresh. Annoyingly I have had a lot of trouble getting the wheels to balance correctly..
The road we took is below, Aberdeen over to Banchory, Ballater, Tomintoul, Grantown on Spey, then up over Inverness. Fantastic road!

I also let my better half have a few miles whilst I took some photos. No fancy pics this time, she was driving quicker than me!
We stayed at a great little B&B for the night, and had probably the best Scottish Breakfast I've ever had!

Unfortunately I have had another couple of issues. The passenger door pin is coming loose again, and occasionally the door wont unlock. Not a huge issue just now, but it will be if the drivers door goes aswell. Anyone know if this is a quick fix I can carry out at home?
Also, it looks like my airbag is coming loose? Any ideas?
It was around 250 miles door to door, and I averaged 30.5mpg which is the best I've seen. It was a mix of driving along a lot of country roads running on super unleaded. Very happy! I normally struggle to get about 25mpg. Apart from the two new problems, the car is going great. It is still attracting a lot of attention where it goes, we drove through a classic rally and got plenty of thumbs up.
Also very chuffed with the few little mods I have done recently. The additional black bits really make it stand out. The barge boards were expensive, but I think they look fantastic! No issues with people standing on them either

Typical, Photobucket has ruined the quality of the pictures!

Sorry just spotted this, AFAIK the boards were not predrilled. There is a guy on Lotus Talk who has also fitted them but they sit differently to mine, his stick out further. So I guess its up to whoever fits them where is best to drill..I Would like to have it sooner but im Collecting the car the week after next as I'm in Greece at the moment.

The leather trim where it joins on top of the dashboard, right at the front behind the windscreen, does not quite join, and the passenger side door is not a perfect fit...the bottom edge is slightly low, but the hinges are fine....so it will just be alignment and could probably be adjusted.
Still a slight annoyance when I see these things, but to me these are minor and the dynamics far outweight these....but we`re all different.

Not sure if anyone still reads this, but thought I'd update it again
Now out of warranty, good excuse for a Track Day! What a great night it was, roughly 20 cars, and 2 hours to go in and out as you please. At times it felt like I had the track to myself
The evening was organised to help launch the new Exige Roadster, my god they are quick!
The Evora was outstanding as always. I think stickier tyres would help massively, but I don't do nearly enough track days to justify them. The exhaust is starting to get very loud with the decat, almost too loud at points. Sounded great! I averaged 20mpg from my house to the track, 2 hours, and back again (250miles round trip) which I was happy with (not so happy at paying £1.54 per litre for 97 unleaded!)
I've had mine over 3 years now, and I'm beginning to think I'll be going for another when I can justify changing. I also havent seen another on the road in those three years, until yesterday! Spotted a yellow on out and about who wasn't at the track night, and then plenty of different Evoras at the event itself
Few pics
Few others that were there

The De-Cat speeds up the gas-flow - that strips the packing out of the Lotus Sport silencer. The exhaust is starting to get very loud with the decat, almost too loud at points.
Result - loud/droning exhaust!
