Southampton too doing well, Portsmouth not so tongue outbiggrinbiggrin

Leicester should do well, West Ham's season could be "interesting" I think.... There's a lot of expectation surrounding them.
It's been a good days football!smile

Wednesday night also sees Blackpool v Derby, so another game where 1 or both teams will drop their first points of the season.

Our game today could quite easily have finished 5-5 with goal line clearance, wood work hit, 1-on-1's and that was just the first half! We took the lead just before half-time and scored the second just after the restart. We were pretty comfortably then, with Peterborough not really troubling us infront of goal, then with 9 mins left Cathcart decides to pass the ball across the eighteen yard box and their player intercepts the ball and scores. Then it's back to the wall for the remainder of the game.

We probably had the oldest strike force playing this weekend with Kevin Phillips and Brett Ormerod, but you wouldn't know that Phillips was 38 watching him play.

hehe I wouldn't worry about Derby. Normal service will resume shortly as they plummet down the table!

Didn't they start like this last season as well?

Looking forward to Saturday DS? hehe We haven't won at the City ground in the league since the Romans invaded.

It was a given that Kevin Phillips would get goals for whoever he joined in the Championship. He's just a quality player and even at his age he's still got more than enough to challenge defences. Definitely think Blackpool will be one of the teams challenging but we all know this league is a marathon not a sprint! smile

They always seems to start well yes, Unlike us. I don't think we have ever got more than 2 points in august in our history hehe

Saturday, In a word, no. We haven't had time to gel, our defense is woeful and we have no end product. Hopefully that will change with our new signings this week. (If Sven doesn't get them wink )

You making the trip?

I shall be there, (shall do around 21 aways this season) we sold out our allocation quite quickly as well, unlike last season but it was a Sky match on Good Friday.

I don't like these matches early on, like away to Cov although we won i'd sooner have 6 or 7 games before they came up. You could see on Saturday the players were nervous still and not all on the same wavelength.

Still something at the top will give in this weeks matches as a few play each other midweek and on Saturday as well.

Cracking result last night for Brighton against Cardiff. That's three games on the trot. Not bad going for the new boys in the division.

At home to Blackpool on Saturday. Should be good.

Southampton and Brighton doing really well.

Hat off to Brighton too beating Cardiff here on Wednesday. All my mates who I spoke to said city could have no complaints and Brighton far better.
