He's a dirty snake bd. Classic non denial denial, he'll be off if he gets offered. And he'll never get Arsenal higher than he is now.

It may get quoted if I'm wrong but don't see him going arsenal at all, the potential there is not great, many slated him for coming to lowly Leicester because they had no fking clue what we actually have here, we all knew we had massive potential if we started playing football rather than going sideways all the time under Claude.

We have possibly the best owners in football

New state of the art training ground being built

Lots of young talent etc

Yes I don't think we can honestly say we expected to be 2nd at this stage, but champions league is looking like a massive possibility next year, is it for arsenal? Doubt it.

At celtic other than wining everything for the 3rd time he'd done what he could and wanted a new challenge, what's so hard to see in that?

I fully expect he won't become a legend who stays here forever, but if we get top 4 this year I still don't think he'd go anywhere even in the summer.

At Celtic he could and should have done better in Europe. That's a big part of how a manger will be judged as winning honours in Scotland is expected.

What was hard about it is he always highlighted how committed he was. How he was a Celtic supporter and how he wanted to set records.

First offer he had to leave he jumped ship with the threat of disrupting the team he supports setting records. He could have easily waited until the end of the season.

Arsenal aren't in a good position just now, but they have massively more potential than Leicester. They are a big club, well known and the pull of London is strong.

Although a poor signing so far Arsenal have spent as much as £72m on single players. Leicester won't do that.

On the other hand as soon as you get quality players other teams in the same league have the pull to take them off you. Most people seem to have already sold Maddison.

A journo mate, who is well connected in the game and particularly all things Arsenal suggested to us on saturday over a few beers Rodgers to Arsenal is definitely a possibility and likely something that Rodgers would go for because of the money and the size of the club.

We have shown in the last 2 years that we won't roll over for players to leave though, I mean 80mil for maguire? And we'd already got a replacement (actually 2) in.

The media are always going to try and support a top 6 but as money gets spread out more and more we may eventually see less and less of a big 6.

And things do change, who's to say that Leicester don't become one of the top teams?

A top 4 finish, after winning the league a few seasons ago

We have the foundations built and the backing, we don't NEED to sell good players like we use to when Martin was in charge way back.

Yes you will always lose players, it even happens to the top teams when they then want to go to barca or real Madrid but the more we can start competing with things like champions league and better wages for those who deserve it then less will want to leave.

Spending money on players? Because that's working wonders for man u isn't it?

How we have done things, has itv taught you nothing? That money doesn't always equal success?

We beat other teams to signing teilemans because HE WANTED to sign to us, and we shelled out 40m for him.

We never know what's going to happen in the future, but right here right now, I don't see him going.

I would be genuinely shocked, and gutted it has to be said, if he did leave to go to arsenal, then I may start to agree with the snake comments!

Money doesn't always buy success, but usually it does.

Even when clubs don't need to sell players how often have we seen players forcing moves of late?

If Leicester do become a more regular top 4 club there is still the fame and fortune of playing for one of the bigger clubs.

Even though Man City have been consistently one of the best teams in England for years, it doesn't feel as if they have the respect of other clubs. They can't fill their stadium for big games and their season tickets are quoted as one of the cheapest. Luckily they have good financial backing.

Certainly does help, the fact we have money now is the reason why we can almost hold man u to ransom for people like maguire, (and the fact maguire was a complete professional throughout rather than throwing his toys out the pram) aswell as spending a fair amount on players, some better than others lol

As you say there is prestige to other clubs, hence why I pointed out that people like man u, Liverpool etc have lost players to go to Spain etc it happens to the best of clubs, just less.

After 1 trip to the Stretford end at Old Trafford, its an amazing theatre compared to our little bowl, also if players wish to play for England, good old FA seem to make sure its mostly players from the 'top 6'that get chosen despite talent or form,so I fully get why players will still opt for those but it becomes a harder decision when the team your leaving is in a good position and has the backing to go further.

Main players we have lost?

Maguire - hardly setting old Trafford alight.
Drinkwater - less said the better
Mahrez - become a bit part player but has won 2 more medals
Kante - World class player, should be doing so much better than Chelsea but he's a regular there

Vardy stayed instead of going arsenal

Many of the others over the past few years have been ol players working very hard in a good squad, all of sudden brendons here even getting nacho playing like a footballer!

But most of the players we have brought in the last couple of years are good quality signings, we seem to have learnt our lesson after the terrible windows that followed our league win.

I'm not going to even worry about Rogers going unless it actually happens, we are having a great season and just gunna enjoy the fk out of it, when you support someone like Leicester you just have to enjoy the ride!

Man Utd are in a bit of a desperate hole. Their problems appear to be deep rooted and pushed into paying way too much.

I've never rated Maguire. The person that managed to con that much money for him should be jailed. laugh

When players leave Scotland I hope they do well. I also hope Rodgers does well too. There's nothing worse that the constant knocking of Scottish football, then the dramatic turn around after 5 minutes in England.

I'll use Virgil Van Dijk as an example. Played for Celtic and was always knocked about he can only do it in Scotland. He downed tools and forced a move to Southampton. The transfer fee was £12m as he only played in Scotland.

He was playing for Southampton, who were a top 6 team around that time, and people started to take notice. As soon as the Liverpool link came he downed tools again forcing another move. The claims were still he wasn't worth £xxx as he only ever played for Celtic and Southampton.

About two games into his Liverpool career he was the best defender in the world and £75m was a bargain. He'll down tools again if he gets his dream move to Barcelona.

I'd rather when players and managers leave Scotland they are a success. The better they are when they go to England the more confidence clubs will have to spend good money directly.

When Man City fans say Mahrez is worse than Adam Johnston, and Maguire isn't doing well the less likely Leicester will get huge transfer fees when players want to move.

It was "only" £30m for Kante and wasn't the Vardy agreed deal only £20m? It's not exactly big fees for key players in a premier league winning team.
