Bamford scores that chance at the beginning and it's a completely different game. 2-1 would have probably been fair, 4-1 is a great result for us and unlucky for you. Unreal when you think we have our regular back 4 and our regular DM out injured, yet we've just managed to beat Leeds (who are a very good team this season) 4-1. I'd have taken a draw today, so it shows what a good result that is.
Onto Braga midweek, thankfully we're at home, will be a tough game and again I'd be happy with a draw.

Well that was a lot more straight forward than I expected. I'd have happily taken a draw as well prior to the game, but great team performance again. 4 goals, a very quiet night for Schmeichel, and that 3rd goal was just lovely!
ETA 3rd goal made even better by Iheanacho's no look pass I was convinced that was an intended pass in real time, just seen the replays and was definitely a scuffed shot that become a great assist.

Sounds boring repeating myself but another good performance today, I'm enjoying the consistency though.
Rodgers has made us a difficult team to break down and create real goal scoring opportunities against. We are much better at soaking up pressure than I can remember without it stifling our attacking threat. No mean feat imo, we look very well organised and every new player that's come in due to injuries has looked as well drilled as the regulars.
Forfana was brilliant again, enjoyed seeing him stretching his legs breaking forward in the 1st half and spraying a couple of passes around. Confidence is clearly growing, as it should be.

Yeah we look like we have various systems now and players can slot in and out where needed. It's nice that we can sit back and soak up the pressure against some teams, but also control the game and keep possession in the middle where needed.
Fofana looks a class above, every game he's made great tackles or some good passes forwards from deep. Schmeichels save from Neves was superb, I thought it was heading straight into the top corner.
Man City and Liverpool draw, so that's us at the top of the table going into the international break, lovely stuff!

Well that was a bit frantic at the end!
Subs made a big difference with a much improved 2nd half. Braga were a very different outfit tonight, was Paulinho out injured for the 1st leg?
But they've done well to qualify with 2 games to spare and bounce back from the loss at the weekend. Performace aside though wtf was Forfana thinking when he went to his barber!

Paulinho played 71 minutes in the 1st leg. They rested a couple of their main players though I think, and one or two were injured.Subs made a big difference with a much improved 2nd half. Braga were a very different outfit tonight, was Paulinho out injured for the 1st leg?

Must have missed his contributions then I remembered them saying before the 1st leg that one of their main players was out, then assumed it was him as he seemed to be involved in everything good they did in the 1st half of the 2nd leg. 5 at the back killed us, was the wrong formation to go with, especially against the worst defence in the league. Fuchs tackle was stupid as well, essentially killed the game off. Maddison needs dropping, 2 goals and 2 assists in the Prem in 12 months, not good enough, especially when he's our main set piece taker.
