We battered Brighton for those 25 or so minutes after we switched to a back 4, we must keep using 5 at the back to conserve energy or something. Justin was brilliant, definitely his best ever game for us. Second half was just like a training session, we were just saving energy.
2 tough games coming up against Everton and Spurs, 4 points would be amazing but 3 would be a good return too.

Another back 5 tomorrow with Evans out? Castagne should be back apparently, so perhaps see Justin (you're right he was excellent against Brighton) moved inside with Fofana and Fuchs? Big Wes as an option to move to a 4 later on?2 tough games coming up against Everton and Spurs, 4 points would be amazing but 3 would be a good return too.
Glad to see Rodriguez isn't back from injury yet.
I think we might see Ndidi in the back 5 with Fuchs and Fofana, Mendy in DM. I've also heard conflicting stuff about Castagne, saw that he was a doubt for tomorrow but could be involved on the bench against Spurs.
3 points from Everton & Spurs would be a great return, 4 would be amazing! No reason we can't qualify for Europe again this season.

My ageing memory prevents me recalling if Ndidi has played there before for us? Never crossed my mind.
Agreed 4 points would be wonderful, tbf I'd take 2.
Ndidi started the season playing in defence because Evans was suspended. I believe he's played there for Nigeria too.Agreed 4 points would be wonderful, tbf I'd take 2.
I think (big) Wes still has the back injury, although he was on the bench Sunday night.

I'll take 1 point now Missed the 1st half due to teenager taxi services being fully booked, and Amazon not letting me start the game from the beginning, but get the impression the 2nd half was much of the same. Ancelotti seemed to have his tactics spot on tonight, Justin had obviously been highlighted as a threat.
Not sure how he played in 1st half but I find Mendy so frustrating to watch when he's in possession, seems almost incapable of passing the ball forwards. At one point he turned and ran 20 yards into space in front of him, then got a nosebleed from being too high up the pitch and passed it straight back to where he came from

Yeah definitely thought we deserved that win today.
Justin has been fantastic all year, probably our best player so far.
I'd have snapped your hand off for 6 points from Brighton, Everton and Spurs. Onto United and Palace next.
You and me both, but surprised we got half of them from what I assumed would be the toughest fixture. Great game again for Justin, he has done well but seems to have taken another step forward as the returns of Castagne and Ricardo have approached. Great performance. I know VAR never lies but FFS, that looked nowhere near offside.
It's the angle that they show us. Aurier looks much further back than their CB, but apparently the CB was the furthest back. We should see it in a straight line to make it easier. Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
