that doesn't say he only posts on this thread - it says he only posts on PH when he can post on here.
Ergo he adds nothing to the Community and wouldn't therefore understand it

Being serious for a moment

I have attempted to help diffuse this forum with the new thread and to allow you guys to discuss matter Liverpool the same with the other threads

I have largely stayed out of this thread for that reason

But towards the end of Vol 2 although you were all still bothered by Raja's posts there was no real venom directed towards him and some people even agreed with some of his points, I know he doesn't help himself at times but it is his right to have an opinion

The whole thing had calmed down and the first couple of pages of this thread were calm and then it all kicked off again, IMO there is one factor that has changed and that person has riled everyone up

I do also believe that these threads are a small part of PH and not the sum total, if anyone comes on here just for this thread or any football thread for that matter they should be on another site

Regardless of who it was, everyone ask yourself this. Why did you join PH? Was it to bh and whine like a wker on the football forums? No. The majority of the rest of PH is a brilliant community and there's a few threads around that are really, really good. People meet up in their cars and thrash the living st out of them and share a beer and meal afterwards. I know because I do it... do you? This is a car enthusiasts site, after all.
Huge +1

Also chaps, just a quick reminder, we have our own O/T thread to discuss all this st on

I think Tevez is the last thing you guys need right now

You'd be better of hoping that Luis is spending his time off practising his finishing and looking for a winger/midfielder that can supply Carroll

See now why would you do this?

You attempt to score a cheap point and you will make this thead once again descend into chaos and probably be closed, pointless, utterly pointless

Agger is out injured. (you didnt think we would get a full season out of him!)

Just swap out Agger for Coates, not knocking Carragher, i just want Coates to get game time as i rate him.

Remember a number of years back, bolton used to be our bogey team, proper nightmare to face when big Sam was the gaffer.
that's because back then bolton were today's stoke; long ball merchants that sucked the soul out of joga bonito..
Bolton, Blackburn, pretty much any Big Sam team smile

I'll be honest I'm feeling a bit sorry for AC too, the club overpaid but thats not his fault and I honestly thought with LS unavailable he would be given a run especially against the likes of Stoke

No. I think he's a step back on Aquilani and Raul
To be fair I dont think Aquilani wanted to play for you did he? For whatever reason. I think Merieles shoukd have been kept if poss at least until you could replace him in the summer

I think Cole could have done a job for you this season

Nothing has changed my mind on that point and with a virtual net spend of £0 we have not got a stronger squad than last year so we cannot change the team too much after a performance like lastnight.
Long time liverpool fan here, is there a definitive article anywhere that outlines Dalglish's net spend since he came in?

I have een doing some googling and every article seems to list a different amount.

thanks in advance.

Net spend only rears its head to be used as a stick to beat the owners with or a shield to defend an under performing manager.
Not in this case as I don't want to do either.

I just wanted to know how much money has been spent since the Hodgson debacle, how much has been received, and an idea of the difference in wage bill.

Net transfer spend, player wage roll and turnover are 3 very useful measurements when looking at what is going on at a club.
Not as useful as looking on the pitch, mind.

Net spend is approx £30 mil and he has also cut the wage bill by £30mil.
thanks.

A question for Raja, or any other regular attendee, what's the groundswell of opinion towards the owners?

Raja - I didn't mean to be so curt when answering questions.
Just wary of putting my foot in it and setting off another endless tit-for-tat exchange that ruins so much of the thread.

I am just trying to get a better understanding on where we sit in terms of what's going on around us. In the "big" games this season in general we have looked - "not bad", the sort of team that is one or two players away from being good. Even in the 3-1 against city I thought we played OK.
The last few matches have been shocking.

if you are going to run a football club as a business in general you will get businesslike results on the field.

They did buy us on the cheap from the Bank. A recent Us report had the club valued at more than £200mil than they paid.
It was a "bargain" rather than cheap. I think they know what they are doing,

I'll show my hand - I hope Mourinho wins the league in Spain so he can leave with his ego in tact. He gets the job in summer with c.£100 million of the paper profit made on the club valuation. Gives us five years. We finally win league in SAF's last year - at least then we can see him of with the finger!

as an aside - I was having a quiet lunch on my own in a cafe in Alderley Edge yesterday, when Mancini and his mate came in. After 5 minutes his mate came over and asked if they could sit at my table as it was "lucky", realising they were playing spurs I said yes.
May go back on Tuesday and loiter and see if they ask before the semi final!

Looks like it may have worked, 1-0 city.
