He would be silly to stay at Barcelona.
Atletico and Real Madrid are stronger than them currently so silverware isn’t coming any time soon.
Only so much humiliation he has to endure in the champions league, recent years haven’t been kind to them and their financial situation means they won’t get that much stronger soon.
Mbappe to Madrid, Messi to PSG?

You'd have to question why would Mbappe go to Madrid, when PSG are the better team at the moment.Atletico and Real Madrid are stronger than them currently so silverware isn’t coming any time soon.

Something that Mbappe would aspire to do in the future and what better team than Real who have always attracted the biggest stars in the world.
He won’t do that at PSG.
Mbappe, Messi and Neymar would be an attack I’d like to see though

Mbappe I'd say is likely. Just can't see Messi wanting to play in Ligue 1, it's a crap league without the draw of the States.
USA,
CITY,
PSG.
In that order of likliness for me.
PSG
City
Argentina
He still has 3-4 years in a too team but I don’t think prem is for him. I can’t see him enjoying being kicked every weekend. Much more physical league the Prem.
could say he performs in the CL against English teams but when the lower side are fighting for a point it’s a different game.
I don't think the MLS can afford Messi unless he takes a major cut in wages. Yes they get full stadiums (At least Atlanta United did when I lived there) but there is not the same money in the game. The games are played at a different pace which would suit Messi but I only see him going to the US if it's about his Childrens schooling

Yep, they're a shadow of both those teams. I'd struggle to name half the current Barca team.
I was surprised how few players I knew too.
Another goal for him tonight, but Barca have pretty much choked on the night.
Home match 82% possession, only created 4 shots on target and lost 2-1 and deservedly so. I don’t think they even had an attempt on target in the second half, even after going behind. No real attempt to score, just an expectation that the opposition will roll over, which they clearly aren’t prepared to do.

To be honest much as I prefer the football 'status' and ability of Messi to Ronaldo for a variety of reasons, at least Ronaldo has moved countries and therefore leagues every few years and proved himself in all of them, whereas the GOAT has stayed in Spain, I would love Messi to do the same in his final few years - forgo the safety of Barcelona and sample another league - I think he will regret not doing so when he retires, no matter how successful or not he would have been. He and ROnalso seem to be different personalities and I just think the moving every few years suits Ronaldo more.

I’m the opposite, I’d rate Ronaldo as the GOAT, but there will be bias in there as a United fan. I’m not sure Ronaldo has really tested himself. United were the top dogs when he joined, ditto Real, ditto Juve. In the first two cases he did take them up a level and his records are astonishing. As per Messi he’s ageing and his powers are on the wane, neither can carry a poor team to great things like they have done. uk66fastback said:

The cynic in me would also like that, if only to put a further thorn in the plans of Florentino Perez' ESL brain-fart!Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
