It's hilarious.

Looking at Old Firm games at home next season. Can see 30th Dec. But when is the other one?
23rd September at Ibrox.30th December at Celtic Park.
10th March at Ibrox.
If there is a fourth meeting it'll be after the top 6 split.
I was talking about the Celtic book.
Okay, obviously it gives you certain priority access for the European games, but the basic book's about the SPL games. So without good Rangers games what else is worth going to see (and paying quite a lot too)? The Aberdeen games? Well maybe. The rest? Nonsense with a foregone conclusion. Not even worthwhile practice matches for European endeavours.
A boring useless Rangers seriously devalues the Celtic season book. Do you disagree?

I'd say most Celtic fans enjoyed last season more than most. Nobody offered any challenge, but the team is entertaining to watch. I'm sure many would also be happy to spank Rangers every time rather than it being close.Okay, obviously it gives you certain priority access for the European games, but the basic book's about the SPL games. With Deila just doing enough wasn't enough. This team is entertaining and setting personal records is the drive.

52,000 would seem to disagree! Okay, obviously it gives you certain priority access for the European games, but the basic book's about the SPL games. Rangers have sold plenty too. Doesn't give what they've bought much value, does it? Sure some fans will be ecstatic. The ones who enjoy watching the heavyweight they follow beating middleweights and lightweights week in and week out.
Others will get bored with it because it's just not very entertaining. And playing and beating ste every week really isn't entertaining. They'll pick and choose the games they go to, and just relish the Champions League nights. Their seats for most games will be bought by non-ticket holders - which isn't a bad thing because it at least lets fans beyond the book-holders see the team live and enjoy the stadium atmosphere so it's a bit of a 'special day' for them even if the game's not great.
But then the bar of expectation starts getting raised. It's not enough to put up the occasional good show in the group stages. Suddenly progressing from there becomes a MUST. And then it starts getting serious if it's to be taken seriously. Okay winning the CL probably isn't realistic without megabucks. But nor is it realistic if most weeks Celtic have to play mediocre opposition. So how does the team go up a gear? Even getting beyond the group stages, which, right now, would be a very great achievement for Celtic and - I think - require them to punch well above their weight.

Didn't hear this when Rangers were winning the tainted 9 in a row by financial doping but of course it's not easy watching what has happened over the last few years but let's not try to deflect from the fact that an undefeated Treble WINNING Season is a remarkable achievement in any league!
Well unless Celtic stumble they should do the same this year. And unless some other team gets competitive (of which there's no sign) there's no reason why Celtic don't win the treble every year. It's entirely in Celtic's hands. And how long do they have to be completely dominant until it's not a remarkable achievement any more and just a very realistic expectation? AND pretty boring.Okay they WILL lose the odd game because of ill fortune or just a bad day at the office. But what I'm saying is competitive sport's a lot more fun when there's competition. And right now with their traditional rivals a burst balloon, a good chunk of the fun's gone too.
The Old Firm games are brilliant. And you know very well they're really the only games that justify the cost of the book. But when the skill gulf is so wide then it's not the same anymore.
MAYBE the Niederkorn joke is Rangers version of Red Imps. And MAYBE that disgrace + the arrival of Alves and Dorrans and the gelling of Jack, Kranczar, Rossiter and anyone who's any good from the New Unknowns might just galvanise Rangers into being something resembling some opposition for Celtic. But that's MAYBE. And as a well known Celt from yesteryear famously said, 'mebbes aye and mebbes naw'. And if its 'mebbes naw' then it's another ste year of mediocrity coming up.
