We might get ahead of Rangers, but we won't catch Aberdeen.

You never know, all you need is four wins! Aberdeen are bottlers, though Hibs are a wee bit mercurial.

But here’s hoping

What's the chances of getting 2 tickets for the old firm derby this season? Ideally the March game. If so from where? Don't need to be seated together as I know a season ticket holder who will swap any two seats for their two seats.

It's for a special birthday present.

A really good result tonight, against a very decent side.

The last 10 minutes was nail biting stuff, but we held on. A few weeks ago we would have collapsed.

Yep, rode luck a bit, but great result. Whole team stood up to be counted.

Opening game of 88/89 season was 13/08/88 at home to Hearts where there were celebrations before the game as the league flag was unfurled.

However, i recall someone being paraded around the pitch before the game kicked off and my head thinks it was The Proclaimers. Can anyone put me right as my grey matter has failed me. I found some footage of the game (looks like Scotsport highlights) on YouTube but it isn't clear enough to work out who was paraded.

Thanks
Paul

Following last night's match against RB Leipzig, Celtic and Celtic Park have received some glowing reviews and accolades from the German press.

Good result tonight. 1 nil doesn't really do it justice, but the RB result.makes up for it.

Really tough group so it's great to qualify out of it.

A few players were off the boil tonight. Ajer was poor defensively and missed an effort Van Vossen would have been proud off.

A combination of nearly every Rangers fan being banned from the thread and the rest of the Rangers fans with nothing to gloat over.

You've suddenly become vocal yourself after years of not posting anything about football and leaving the other thread in a strop.

You're getting very carried away. Enjoy your team winning rather than being more obsessed with Celtic.

I'd never heard of him, but he seems to have a decent record.

Celtic had to apply for some sort of exemption for him as he doesn't hold any european coaching badges, but that's just because he's never worked here before.

Did alright at the 2014 WC, won the Asian Cup, then qualified for the 2018 WC before jacking it in.

Then won a J-league.

Best of luck to him.

Edited to add, hope he knows what he's getting into.

Massive gamble by the club after their Plan A didn't work out.

Time will tell.

I don't understand this we don't know who he is, he must be crap attitude. The last coach that came over from the Japanese leagues did rather well.

He's got many positive reviews from people in the game. It'll be interesting to see what he brings.

Good result tonight and the other mobs manager looking pissed off that he’s been overlooked for the Newcastle escape route.

Didn’t see it but sounds like the defensive colander is gradually being patched up - as an attacking force very effective though, at least when Kyogo is on, and in the correct position. Still hard to get a second place in the group though.

When Johnstone and Forrest came on we struggled at the back as they weren’t holding the ball up or tracking back as well.
