Following on from the never ending debate on the Liverpool thread and as there appear to be at least 40 Liverpool fans on PH (info courtesy of Booeys 'Which Team Do You Support' thread) I thought I'd gather the general feeling in a poll.

As a Utd fan, this is a tricky situation.

Dalglish is apparently a Liverpool legend and may or may not have won several trophies with said club as a player and manager in the past.

Hence, his sacking at the end of the season will bring hearty cheer and joy to Utd fans. And much mocking will ensue, of which I will duly partake in.

However, anyone with a modicum of common sense can see, the guy is clueless and out of his depth and his continued stewardship at the club next season will also be beneficial to us Utd fans. For further piss-taking, mocking and general merriment.

This

But also I would be interested to see how the Raja vs The People (Well the people who haven't started to agree with him) escapade would continue with a new man

Seems a bit harsh, if Carroll had woken up a bit earlier in the season than last week things would have been quite different.

More time.
See how it goes with a team the likes of and hopes of

...... Reina
... Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique

..... Lucas
New player Gerrard Downing

...... Suarez Carroll

What would a new manager bring other than using the same players in the same positions without needing another shedload of money in the summer?

This year in the league has not been good enough, no Liverpool will agree it has.
But with surez not getting banned for a 1/4 of the season, Lucas not being practically the season (we were well within 3rd place before he got injured) Carroll starting the season as he has finished it and a 2-4 new faces I am sure it will not be anywhere near as bad as it was this year.

Give him till December and see where we are.

A never ending debate takes place and you think this poll will work......

Have a read of the many threads on lfc tv and the view from liverpool fans if you must have an answer to this topic. smile

No.

As a newcastle fan, I'm hoping he buys more of our crap players (ok, so enrique is pretty decent still) for huge fees and then underperforms again.

Every team suffers suspensions, injuries and players out of form. It's a weak manager that hides behind these factors. A competent manager knows that these factors are inescapable and is able to prepare and work around these factors.

I am not saying they dont, but you are saying in 1 year he has to have built a squad / team good enough to cope no matter who we lose and for how long - total bks, we ousted around 18 players in the summer... Get realistic Raja this is not championship manager.

City without Kompany and Toure would suffer
Utd without Rooney and Scholes would suffer

ETC ETC

Lucas and Suarez are practically the 2 most important players in our 1st 11.

What you mistake Raja is you think we all think Kenny is not to blame for anything, your wrong we know its not been good enough but we also dont have our blinkers on and think managers dont make mistakes.
How many city fans wanted rid of Mancini in his 1st year, even this year when they went 8 points behind,
Spurs fans wanting Redknapp out even though they might potentially get 3rd

Football squads are not built over night they need time, plans, tactics, squads, mentalities are built with time.
If by xmas we are still no better then maybe its time for him to move on, but I have a feeling this wont be the case.

Does he have to be sacked?

I want a "retired upstairs gracefully" option

So some who are voting to keep him want him to stay so their team stays ahead or that they can continue to laugh at him. Says a lot really.

^^^THIS. Keep him. He's useless, and I like watching Liverpool in turmoil. What's wrong with that...seems like a perfectly reasonable position for a fan of another club to adopt.

Not all want him to go, some don't have blinkers on but can also see the bigger picture.

Its not supposed to 'work', just give an idea of the majority thinking on this subject from the great and the good on PH.

Not really interested in the dedicated LFC fan sites.
