I've just scuppered my own argument, you borrowed Pienaar back, of course you don't see a problem
Everyone loans people. We loan players out, we get loan players. It all comes out in the wash. I see no problem with an employer saying that their employee does not play against them. TheHeretic said:

Who have you loaned out?
Lots of players, albeit not to prem sides, they tend to be reserve type players. Hobo is probably our biggest loaned out player.z4me said:
Exactly, so the players you're looking to give experience to, or you no longer have a need for them, go to lower league first teams. Putting your multi-million pound striker, who's no longer flavour of the month because you've seen something brighter and shinier, with another Prem club isn't the same.
Why not? How is it any different to a transfer, except temporary? I'm curious which team you support, and if you feel that transfer affected your teams season, or not? TheHeretic said:

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has reiterated his desire to keep on-loan Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor at White Hart Lane, but admitted wages remained a stumbling block.
So, without Adebayor's goals, we may well have finished above Spurs. Maybe you would've finished above Spurs.

I'm a Mag, so yes it has affected us, Adebayor, Bendnter, Pienaar, Yakuba have all scored against us. Here's a quote from today's Telegraph from good old Harry :

The Citeh/Chelski model is not sustainable. If the Middle East goes up in smoke or Abramovic walks under a bus, to all intents and purposes, these clubs would head back into mid-table obscurity.
As a Spud, I admire Arsenal's model. They live within their means and build from within. By doing that they have been able to challenge for top honours for many years.
Anyone can buy a League Championship. Just ask Blackburn Rovers.

You must be happy with seventh then, and Citeh and Chelsea dictating who plays for who. One of the few positive things Mike Ashley has done for us is to insist on no payment in installments for players bought or sold, and no loan players inbound.
How are City and Chelsea dictating who plays for who? Let's not go down tinhat drive, eh. Be pleased about getting 5th, and enjoy the season. TheHeretic said:

I'm just looking at a way of trying to make sure those clubs were cash is no object don't monopolise the league for years to come. I don't have a problem with them buying the best team, just not buying players for the sake of it so that others don't get them.
