Now we have had a couple of days to get over the fact that the euro's is over, and that England didn't do very well, let's look forward to the World Cup 2014 in Brazil!

Qualifying starts soon. Our first game is on the 7th of September against Moldova.

Our qualifying group is:

Montenegro

Ukraine

Poland

Moldova

San Marino

It looks like a group we should breeze through. Roy will have time to get the team playing his brand of football and we have some fresh meat coming through the ranks who look like they will potentially develop into quality players.

Come on England!!

Joe Hart for captain. Can't see Stevie G having the legs to play and demand a start in 2 years time unfortunately.

England to qualify but do nothing.
What price are Belgium to win it? Fancy a tenner at anything over 80/1.

There's no way that we will win in Brazil.

So, if he was a brave man, Hodgson would pick a qualifying squad full of youngsters and stick with it, whatever the results. Even if we failed to qualify. With a mind to compete strongly come the next Euros in 2016. I believe that many supporters would accept a brave move like that and give the kids a chance to learn. Germany did as much and they're in a much better position now that we are.

However, he would not do that. I'd wager it has barely crossed his mind. So, it will be the same old same old.

I'm depressed already.

hehe

Just checked online, and Belgium are 80/1 with 188Bet. 50-66/1 with most. The history isn't great. Made the semis in 86 but were undone by 2 Maradonna wondergoals. Sticks in my mind as it was the day my grandad died. Which was annoying as we had arranged to watch it together. So when he took ill we both ended up missing it.

Seem to have a decent young team, and will be better in 2 yrs time.

I don't have an online betting account nor do I want one. Might pop down to my local shop and see what odds they're giving.

80/1 is a fair price, if you can e/w on making the semi's then well worth a punt, but in all honesty, whilst they do have some cracking youngsters coming through, I doubt they'd be good enough to win it. Can see past any one of Spain, Germany, Argentina or Brazil...

I wouldn't even bet on them to qualify.

They haven't got a single person to finish off any moves they create, a situation as ridiculous as Portugal's to be honest. Great players all around the park and dogste up front.

Plus they haven't got a coach to actually get them playing cohesively and effectively as a team, until they do, they're just a bunch of talented individuals.

A team had also never won 3 major tournaments in a row before Spain beat Italy on Sunday.

Are you sure? They're in with Serbia & Croatia, so any 2 from those 3. Others in the group are no hopers, Scotland, Wales and FYROM.

They'll qualify easily imho.

Incredible. And Sweden, who for large parts of the game in Euro 2012 against us were better than us and were unfortunate not to get at least a draw are at 17th!

Who makes up these lists?
