The League 1 and 2 Thread

On the countdown now. Love a good London awayday. On the 06:24 Donny to KX. Four cans for the hour and a half journey is usually just right at that time of day before the serious drinking kicks in.
One of my mates is organising the agenda for the day so not sure which bit of town we'll be in. Since the Flying Scotsman at King's Cross was gentrified it's put a knocker (or lack thereof) on the London trips. I heard that there used to be a gentlemen's entertainment venue fairly close to Kingsmeadow though. Any idea if it's still there?

I think I know the "gentleman's entertainment venue" you mention DR.
Can't remember it's name but the pub is long closed and flattened.
It was on the corner of Hampden road ,if I have got it right.
There is a "private shop" close by though ,if you need some "toys".
It wasn't called "The Sir Robert Peel" was it? Can't remember it's name but the pub is long closed and flattened.

Well Newport county seem to have found some goal scorers this season, feeling positive that we can avoid another relegation battle this season.
That was a cracking result and the pitch looks lovely. I'm off to Forest Green tonight straight from work so hopefully we can keep this scoring form up !n_const said:

A great day out ruined by a football match for me on Saturday.
Well done to the Dons for taking the two chances in the game. Why Donny played hoofball all game I have no idea. Utterly dreadful.
Sorry Mike. Most dull and dire game. But we did really need the 3 points, so were grateful for that.Well done to the Dons for taking the two chances in the game. Why Donny played hoofball all game I have no idea. Utterly dreadful.

Once nouble smashed in the first we looked unstoppable, at 3-1 we were just toying with them.

As this is a very mixed thread can I appeal for the name / nickname of the relevant club in each post, unless it is obvious. Thanks.
Obvious not real footy fan is obvious :-)Addicks 2nd in league one. Didn't see that coming. The Ricky Holmes / Josh Magennis duo worked again, beat Southend 2-1. The biggest attendance in the league, over 12,000 at the Valley.
