You misunderstood.

You are lucky in that you have a good academy set up. As in, someone somewhere had the foresight to set up such a great set up. Not lucky as in it's been successful. It isn't luck that it's been successful. Nobody is scoffing. Lose the chip lad.

Wimbledon have no such back up. That is the point I was making.
Don’t think I did. As I said, it wasn’t luck, it was planned, that was the point I was making. So no chip to lose ‘lad’, although you might be less patronising.

Forest Green beating Sheffield Wednesday has really put a cat among the pigeons at the top of League One.

We'd looked at the fixtures and saw that and an "oh well" followed, resigned to them getting 3 points.... Good ole FGR making things interesting.....

I'll be honest Wednesday have not once looked good in the half dozen games i've seen them in, but they're big, strong and effective and some amazing players.FGR were decent enough, certainly an improvement on when we played them.

Barnsley are on a ridculous run still, Plymouth's home form is borderline insane and us (Ipswich) seem to be peak Ipswich, get close, make you believe, then destroy it lol!

Could end up any 2 from 4!

Great to see Jay Stansfield back in the goals on Saturday. I'm guessing that was his first at the Big Bank end? scratchchin

Whatever, it was clearly an emotional goal for the lad and his reaction said it all in his celebrations.

I'm an ipswich fan as well.... Beating promotion chasing Derby, Barnsley and Posh all away from home and then bottling it against a Fleetwood side with nothing to play for on the last day and then crashing out of the play-offs would be very on-brand!

Yes his first goal in front of the bank. As Jeff used to say 'Lisa would be proud'.

Yeah, I'm just enjoying the season for what it is, winning more often than not, playing very attractive football, great crowds and atmosphere, such a culture change in the club in a very short period of time.

Our run in is very tough, so resigned to play offs already, anything more is a bonus. Confident of a trip to Wembley (over two games we'd beat anyone IMO) but the final is a one-off and we could lose to anyone.

Sorry to say but that looks like an unenviable run in .... Us on Saturday & Crawley on the 22nd being the only optimism points frown

Things have aligned at the basement of the league .
Crawley played last night to even up the games played at 38 with Colchester 1 place above.
They drew so same points for both with the worst team in Essex with better goal difference .

The gap to Hartlepool and Rochdale is 5 points but with 8 games ,some 9 to play , anything could still happen .

Noah Chilvers seems to be scoring enough to keep Colchester from plummeting .

And guess which game I could not be arsed to go to!

I guess I should go on Saturday and make use of my season ticket!

JJ had 2 games to get it in order or he'd be out the door. 1 down and 3 points in the bag; with Rochdale on Saturday.

Guess what ....

I can't make our home game on Saturday, against bottom of the table Rochdale.

IIRC we won 2-1 on the away fixture. But to be quite honest that really has no bearing

Trip to Wembley on Sunday for us as a continued break from L1 after the Internationals (3 out with NI).

It's a nice 100 year symmetry for the first team at the old Wembley for the White Horse final in 1923. Will be a difficult game against the Pilgrims but should be a decent crowd, we've sold 35,000 so should be around 70,000 in.

I understand there's 39k coming from Devon. 26 coaches leaving Home Park at some ungodly hour.

All for a pizza!

I think Spoons & Greggs are opening at 4:00 at the Toughste. Thankfully I'm in London so will be a relatively civilised 10:30 breakfast at Kings X with 50-odd London Whites. Think it should be a sell out looking at the combined numbers plus a few neutral pizza lovers.
