Hi Boydie,

I saw that the Football League Show made a big thing of Chair on Saturday and rightly so, he looked a real prospect. We've had some crackers ourselves on loan through the years - Caulker, Townsend, McCarthy, Hennessy, Mason, MacDonald and Duffy to name but seven - and our clubs have a good reputation for developing these lads. Sounds like you got a beauty there.

Hope all goes well with the move, mate.

As for us, the Championship season did start the run of six successive relegation scraps but to be honest, we didn't embrace the season at all. Our chairman was quoted as saying it was the worst thing that ever happened to the club and they didn't prepare for it. We only went down by a few points, a little investment in January would have seen us "do a Burton" instead of "going for a Burton" which has happened since.
It does make you wonder how many stars are being sat on by Championship teams who could out benefiting the game and themselves by playing first team football else where! We've had a few players over the years who didn't make the cut above, dropped to us and then went on to higher levels and sometimes surpass where they started. Steve Morrison and George Boyd are possibly the best examples with Luke Freeman looking most likely to (though I can't see him surpassing his starting place, Arsenal).

Cheers, means I get to watch every game on iFollow at least... albeit at 3/4am on a Sunday morning!! I'm sure the other half won't get bored of those alarms!

That's a shame really. Should have been a windfall but as is often the case, once you start a losing streak and lose some players it can spark one hell of a rot. Our chairman is coming up with some great incentives to get people through the gate, it's cheaper than it has ever bee, but town just won't support them in any decent numbers - though a lot of that could be down to quality on the pitch, players like Chair are needed to draw crowds in for us as the base support isn't there to compete.

Pretty much avoided this thread for good reason.

Stevenage, 3 league wins this season. 4 managers this season.

Living abroad now, I subbed to iFollow (despite 2-4 am alarms to watch) at least if when we go down, I won't have the option to waste the 110 quid.

Started this thread with us in League One, now look destined to be back in non league.

Boydie I feel your pain. But in the same breath can't help feeling pleased that that tosser Westley is having a torrid time.

You're definitely going down. Adam's is doing an alright job at Morecambe, and unless Macclesfield get docked more points, there's only one outcome.

It would help if you could hold a lead.
Should never have got him back. Mark Sampson was doing OK, had the defence looking very solid, just lacking goals for. Westley ruined all of that. Now we're left with an even bigger squad of st.
