Breaking news now on Sky Sports that Holloway has accepted Palace job!
Well, that's that then. frown

Working with Karl Oyston must be a nightmare, though.

Being out of the UK I've only managed 2 games this year, Charlton and Burnley, and both were dire.

So it's a welcome to Michael Appleton as Blackpool's new manager. Seems to be well respected in the football world as he got plenty of attention when a coach at WBA. Obviously had a tough time since going to Portsmouth as manager with their financial difficulties.

Think this is the first time we have taken a manager who was currently employed by another club since taking Bob Stokoe from Carlisle back in 1970, so was a bit sceptical when his name was first mentioned knowing how our chairman doesn't like spending money.

Looking forward to seeing how Appleton does. He's keeping Tommo as assistant manager which has to be good news. Also the coach he's bringing with him is a defensive coach, which can't do us any harm!

Hopefully Steve Thompson will get the job. And hopefully will have a plan B for when a game isn't going our way.

would hope that we will get some more defenders In. We must have about 15 midfielders on the books and 6 players to cover the back line and a untried kid as second choice keeper.
Russ...we're gonna need Plan C frown

Watford fans knw that the Football League show hate us, and needless to say our 1-6 thumping of Leeds with 6 quality goals only attracted a minute at the end of the Championship roundup, but how about this from the Guardian...

Apparently it didn't happen!

Last win was 3 games ago away at Sheffield Wed on a Tuesday night. Since the beginning of October our form is W-2, L-3, D-4. We are unbeaten in 3 (W-D-D)

Not seen any highlights of the weekends game at Bristol, but from reports and our game against Bolton it seems that the defence is playing a bit better.

Hopefully they will be doing more training now as by various reports not much was being done under Holloway, IE. after his last game in charge v Brighton at home on a Saturday they did not report back to training till the following Thursday, and they travelled down to Derby (minus Holloway who I don't think ever travelled with the team on the bus/train) on the Friday. Players had been telling the local press that they were getting bored with the amount of time of they were getting.

Id seen the last 2 were draws, but didnt recall seeing any bloody victories for ages!

It sounds like Olly was ready to move.

Well unbeaten in 3 sounds a good base for us to consolidate around and rebuild.

How much do you think Ince will go for in Jan?
