Yes, yes it is. This one is on a par with the completely ridiculous Luiz deal if you ask me.

I'm sure there's some kind of international-money-laundering-dodginess by the back door going on, I just can't figure out what.

Pass the tinfoil.
Surely nothing so cynical as Roman agreeing to give the Chinese £Xm worth of business/bribes via Russia in return for agreeing to buy Ramires for £Xm more than he's worth to help with FFP?!
I'm sure there is also no connection with the Chinese Club paying so much for a player managed by Kia Joorabchian in the same week that Chelsea sign a player managed by....

Aaron Ramsey was on A League of Their Own the other day and he said he'd absolutely do the same. Eventually people will forget he didn't actually play and he'll be in the historical photos etc. Ramsey would've done it if he missed either FA Cup final he said (I think).

I'd do it, and I can't blame Terry for doing it. He was and is instrumental for Chelsea and definitely was during that Champs League campaign. At the time it seemed laughable, but not now. I wish politics didn't end his England career so fast.

Eta: IMO Pato will be another Falcao. Pato was at his best years ago for Milan, he peaked early and went downhill to be shipped off to Brazil. I don't understand Chelsea signing him tbh. He was amazing, but not now.

Of course people won't forget he didn't play, in the same way that everyone still knows that Keane and Scholes didn't play in the '99 final.

And here they are:

Not being full kit wkers.

I thought it was down to UEFA wanting all the players in kit (for pictures etc), Terry wasnt the only one. There were 2-3 others.

He even put his shin pads on if I recall rofl

It looks a pretty classless end from both the club and the player, hardly a surprise.

I can imagine it's something the sponsor like to see, and a decision the players are more than happy to go along with.

Personally I think it's better to be in training kit or suit, but to be honest I don't really care.

The Daily Fail said:
Chelsea skipper John Terry was actually following a UEFA directive when he lifted the Champions League trophy in the Blues kit.

The Daily Mail says Terry was the subject of widespread derision for changing into his kit during the Champions League final despite being banned for the match.

But it has emerged that a UEFA edict called for suspended players to collect their medals in team shirts rather than suits so the trophy presentation pictures looked more uniform.

What would Keane & Scholes done had they won the trophy after the rules changed, and they were no longer allowed to wear a suit? Would they have missed out completely, or worn the kit? Given how instrumental they both were in the club's run to the final?

I'm not sure many people would be brave enough to refer to Keane as a wker

FFS, this season goes from bad to worse. I'm having this thought, that not only do we not retain the league, but bloody Spuds take it off us. They are looking worryingly un-Tottenham like, like actually properly good.

And yet despite this crazy season, Arsenal still look like they'll finish fourth

Would be a logical move, although I can't help but feel he's underachieved at City given their vast resources. They should be walking the league this season, but are still looking like world beaters one week and mediocre the next.

weird one as my man city mates, season ticket holders genuinely cant wait to see back of him... very naive with his teams, yes they have good record but they admit they should with what they have access too..

Whats wrong with Hiddink?

Have to agree with that. City always give off a sense that they're somehow less than the sum of their parts. Under achievers in Europe too.

I'd take Pochettino though smile

Don't think that he wants it long term but yes, Hiddick would be a good choice

Ranieri looking good at the moment too!

Always liked Ranieri, a very dignified & genuine man. Would love him to win the title with Leicester.

Another poor result. Outplayed in the first half, had the better of the second half, but overall deserved no more than a point. This is Watford, not Barcelona. Very disappointing.
