So if our form under Hiddink was spread across the whole season we'd currently be third. Serious question, but does anyone think we should have given Jose more time? Roman is probably kicking himself that he didn't act sooner
Short term, probably no, but then we don;t know if Jose would have had the same results.

Long term, hell yes. Jose would have stayed long before certain players got bored and moved to Spain, and I'd feel a lot more comfortable in a league with Pep plying his trade if we had the one manager who's consistently had the measure of him.

Antonio Conte supposedly next Chelsea manager
It looks like this is the case now. He's supposed to be quite tough. It'll be interesting to see how the team reacts to him.

Just got back from the match & we got mugged for 2 points. Think there was more than an eye on Wednesday night's game especially replacing Hazard who looked to be running things. Gutted that my home town's done us (again !!)mad

Very frustrating as 3 points would have taken us closer to the Europa places. Surely it should have been a penalty when Oscar was bundled over?

Yup, the ref got it wrong. That's football. In 90 mins that was really his only error. That's not why we dropped the points. We dropped the points because we weren't good enough to beat them. They definitely deserved a draw, maybe more.

On the plus side we're still unbeaten and Traore looked strong. Stoke have been on a good run so it was never going to be an easy game, and neither will our next one home to West Ham

Defo a penalty, but I'm sure refs are wary of being conned as it goes on far too often ' boy crying wolf ' I suspect. Stoke missed a few golden chances and we got lucky that they missed but where on M.O.T.D. were all the chances Hazard and Willian created ? Poor editing from the Beeb in my opinion. We missed a predator such as Diego in the 6 yard box to finish all the chances whistled across the keeper. Great goal by Traore but he's not the fox-in-the-box that we need. Finally, how bad was Baba !! please let JT be fit for Wednesday to let Ivanovic play full back.

Mugged !!!!
You got to be kidding.Stoke had the better chances....Diouf missed 2 sitters before you went ahead, your keeper made a number of good saves.....and Bojan had a good chance right at the end.
We even had more possession and made more passes, not that that in itself is conclusive but even your manager says "Stoke play well and creatively and they pushed us back"
If that's being mugged I hope we mug teams every week.

Time you faced it,Chelsea aren't the team they once were and Stoke were much better than the team you normally face at the Bridge

Thats very true, we most definitely are not Chelsea are not the team of old and having a disastrous season where as Stoke are having a marvellous season and are justifiably a full '3 points' above us ! Chelsea were lucky not to be punished twice in the first half and once more in the second but the times that Hazard and Willian fired across the box with just a touch needed means that we defo are missing a predator such as Costa in the box. Think Gus thought it was won with 20 to go and we got complacent. As Chuchill said ''yes, I'm so very, very drunk and you are so very, very ugly but in the morning I shall be sober !!''

Real shame Costa got injured tonight as we got right back in to that game. PSG the better side over the 2 legs but can't see them going much further. Have to say I can't believe how Matuidi got away with two blatant yellows early on though!

Disappointing lack of fight from players after going 2-1 down. Kenedy, Willian and Azpilicueta kept chasing but seemingly nothing beyond them. In the days of Lampard, Ballack, Essien et al driving the midfield on that would never have happened!

Hazard should be benched for the rest of the season, things get tough and he asks for a sub. Does not look interested. Should take a look at Costa, started the game struggling with an injury and gave it his all.

I've seen Costa do this a number of times now. Play when he's not fully fit and ending up being injured for a lot longer than necessary! Big changes needed at Chelsea this summer.

Totally disgusted with Hazard swapping shirts at half time and even before leaving the pitch mad If he's that desperate for a PSG shirt before he maybe signs for them next year , then why not do it out of sight of the punters who have sung his praises, total disrespect to the club and the fans ! Costa was fantastic even though injured- just makes you wonder how good he is fully fit. Traore came on and it looked like a boy replacing a man, he's so lightweight he has no physical presence even on the odd occasion when he gets in the box (last Saturday he touched the ball 'twice' inside the box- that's no striker).Like chrisb92 says big changes are needed this summer. Agree some players were excellent such as Willian, Kenedy and Dave and couldn't see Ivanovic swapping shirts at half time !!!

Poor 1st half. 2 mediocre teams who are more worried about losing than winning.

Yep we've been poor and lacking ideas. Lukaku has been awesome, much more penetrating than Costa.
