If one identifies a certain person as being the problem, one should also state that the only people who "big up" that person generally and support him and his POV are fans of other teams intent on WUMing because they know the majority of LFC fans in the thread dislike his apparent lack of respect for the team he allegedly supports. Its impossible to ignore someone's comments when those comments and the supportive WUMing, together with others arguing against takes over the pages! Give us an "ignore this member" button and it might keep tempers under control far more.

1 person I can ignore. Several others wandering in to make snide remarks designed to get a reaction, just pollutes the pages. Fans of other teams who want to discuss an issue sensibly or in a lighthearted way are fine but others just come in on the wind up or to post insulting comments about LFC and that is NOT "banter".

Look at the Predictathon thread and the MOTD/OT thread for examples of posters who support various teams getting along fine. The Chelsea thread has nearly been derailed once or twice, as has the Utd thread but the rest seem to function absolutely fine. Some Spurs fans have quite different views from one another but their thread doesn't go into meltdown when there is a difference of opinion.
