Delighted that the LFC thread might re-open. Being slightly detached from it all over here across the water (yes even in today's technology driven world) I did find it very informative of what might be and what is going on on the ground. Some of it though was most defintely cringeworthy, not just to read but surely those involved when they look back must think the same. I'm all for argument but not just for the sake of arguing. Bans however seem to be the only answer, hopefully PH can stay one of the few places where the minority do not ruin it for everyone else.

Worth pointing out that Craig was banned several months ago and the issues surrounding his ban continued, infact some would argue those same issues lead us to this point today.Admin needs to be effective, it needs to identify an issue and resolve it. But that's why we're raising it, to highlight the issue. This is a warning, an open-discussion if you like, to get that point across. Most mod actions are invisible to those not involved. UF said:

What would you do if the thread in question was in (say) the TV & Films Forum? Because whatever the answer is to that question should logically be the answer to the question here.

Part of the issue is that some people seem to have very selective memory or are not aware of what's happened historically. Just making sure we know

Which is why you (mods) need help. You haven't been effective in identifying the issues, dealing with the issues or allowing the community to have any control. You've let so called "banter" ride, you allow posters to act as wums.The issue that Craig had a problem with led to the last LFC thread closure even though Craig was banned months ago.
(Please don't take this the wrong way it is meant as feedback.)
