He's on 300k a week though or similar? He isn't going to take a pay cut so they'd struggle to give him away!
I agree. Where exactly COULD he go? City? Doubt it, not from United.
Chelsea? Maybe, but that's a big wage for them with potential FFP issues.
Dan wouldn't pay that.
Abroad? I can't see Barca or Real to be honest.
PSG? Hmmm... Paris shopping for Colleen?

It's not that Suarez dives...it's that he also tries to and has deliberately injured other players. jiim said:

Fingers crossed for a good game and a good result. I will be on my way to Camden to watch Wilko Johnson and the snow will make that a longer journey and eat into the game.

Of course we can't but every footballer knows they shelf life in 10-15 years and if you can earn 90k a week at Spurs who have practically won nothing in 20 years or go to the most successful club I the world and double your wage you are going to be interested, anyone would.
Which is why said 'that interested'. Real have a habit of jumping at the current 'fashionable' player and their recent history shows that it isn't a great policy. Bale can see what Modric does for a living and I'm not convinced that he and his wife and child would see it as a great move when he is obviously VERY happy at Spurs. He is on his way to being a bona-fide 'legend' at the club as well as pushing Dan to get serious with the cash. True, we can't compete with Real for the money side of things, but we aren't as far away as we might once have been. Dan isn't stupid. A wage cap is a great thing, but he knows that it has to rise as the profile of the club rises. We are looking at a third successive top 4 finish (fingers crossed) and rewarding loyalty and performance in (relatively) home grown players is paramount now. The vibe at the club (very rarely anything but good) is now bouncing. The team love playing together and love playing for AVB. A move now ANYWHERE, for HOWEVER much cash would need a LOT of though. So yes, he won't be THAT interested.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
