Club or country ?

My country. I've gone off of international football since this new crop of players (post 2004) stopped giving a st but to step out at Wembley with 3 lions on my shirt would be a dream beyond dreams.
I don't know how anyone could love Spurs more than I do but above all else, I'm an Englishman (well I'm a quarter Irish with possible german/jewish ancestory). So England wins by 51% with my club at 49%, good at maths me.

I'd quite like a reasonable chance on ending up on the winning side.
So you would want to wait untill after saturday then?TwigtheWonderkid said:

I'd rather play with more club players than with players I don't like or support.
Now, if I was a pro and given the chance to play for England I'd jump at the chance but to savour the experience of playing with players I want to see week in week out it would be the club team.
Ideally the 79 European Cup winning team, or the early 90's team that included Pearce, Walker, Keane, Clough, etc

The fact this is even being debated shows how much things have changed. When I was a nipper walking out at Wembley was the absolute pinacle without a doubt. That's partly because the level of football at club level/premier league is just so much better than it is for England and also because Wembley doesn't have the mystique it did then. Long gone are the days when Wembley was only used for the FA Cup final and England games.
Cheib is right. The first world cup I recall was Mexico 70. Chelsea had won the FA cup, England were world champions and retaining the world cup would make everything perfect. I cried my heart out when we lost to W. Germany, especially after being 2-0 up.
But these days, much as I'd like to see England do well, I couldn't give two hoots really. I laughed when we lost 4-1 to Germany last time. I hoped they'd get a few more in the closing stages, a 7 or 8-1 loss and things might have changed at the FA. As it is we just blindly carry on in our own merry way, falling further and further behind.
If Chelsea lose to Spuds tomorrow, I'll be far more upset than England going out of a major tournament.
