I've never seen Jericho, football pitches where I live, ever as bad as that
Does make sense not playing Suarez and Gerrard on that.
I don't think it will be the main reason though because he wouldn't have started Sturridge. Obviously thinks it will benefit Sturridge by getting match time.

I agree with giving Sturridge a game, also keep Suarez/Stevie fit for United next weekendDoes make sense not playing Suarez and Gerrard on that.

By the way, in 1968/69 Mansfield Town beat West Ham 3-0 in the fifth round. The West Ham team included world cup winners, Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters as well as Harry Redknapp and Trevor Brooking.

I wanted tickets for this game as I am quite local but could not get hold of any- and I was not prepared to camp overnight in mansfield!
