Taking the lad up to Anfield on Sunday for the game against Swansea.

Aiming to arrive around midday, grab some lunch, walk around the stadium, then watch the game

Any advice on parking?

That's a horrendous idea.

You'll be down 8 wheels instead of 4 for starters.

I park in a secure compound at the junction of Whitefield road and Back belmont road. £5 and a 20 minute walk to the ground. Will be empty at 12ish. Getting back to the motorway is less hassle from there, go home via Sheil Road-Beech street-Edge lane not Rocky lane !

Only problem is if your first in your last out, could be a long wait. At the time you arrive I would park on utting avenue as near or as far as you like (remember to turn round) - your good to go after the game then. (I'm assuming you not coming in a F40 of course)

I park near the Marwood towers just off the A59. Parked under the towers once, but usually on Anderson street next to the everton park sports centre.

Never had any problems as its pretty quiet, never came back to the car on bricks or without a radio. Its a miles walk to Anfield as well.

If you're going that early you'll easily get parking close to the ground in the various school carparks that they open up. You'll pay anything up to £10. As safe as anywhere really, I've parked and seen parked some very nice cars that still had their wheels on.

Actually got to be there for 11am now - booked a stadium tour as an extra surprise for the lad.

Will the school car parks be open that early?
