Yeah, Bale's good at free kicks, but that's just catching the goalkeepers unexpected at the moment.
What, that moment when the goalie has lined up a wall and is waiting for Bale to hit it towards him?

Very unexpected.

Comical comparison. Wilshere is a talented and classy footballer but Bale is in another league. Anyone saying he isn't consistent clearly hasn't followed his progress in the past 2 seasons (or forgot that he was voted player of the year by his peers 2 yrs ago). Regular tormentor of full backs and now that he's added consistent goalscoring to his game - for club and country - he's simply immense. Doesn't go missing in big games (he has scored against all the top 4 teams in the past two seasons), and yes Spurs fans do still talk about those matches against Inter because he was out of this world against a top top side. RVP may win you games by scoring important goals but Bale creates the opportunities for himself and puts them away.

Player of the Year (again).

Hard comparison as they are different players & fill different roles, Bale started off as a left back iirc who found a bit of attacking talent down the wing, and has grown into a very dangerous attacking player of late. Wilshire is a box to box midfielder, he reminds me of Gerrard & watching his performances for England he will be a huge player in the future for club & country.

I'm going to be greedy & play them together wink

Bale is in a different league right now.
Wilshere is a quality player who could turn out to be something special and England captain but we will see if that ever does happen.

The trouble with Bale is he usually puts in an awesome performance once in every 10 games. It's only recently he has managed to half this to about 1 in 5 games where you know he is playing. Far, far too inconsistant to be considered the best in the EPL. (RVP proves he is the best week in week out)

As for Jack, he's still only 19 and puts in an exceptional performance every single game. He's far more consistant in all areas of the game than Bale, that's why he's my choice. smile
9 goals in his last 7 games for club & country & he's not a striker. I would expect RVP to be sniffing goal every game. Bale makes it happen. That's the difference.

Anyone that says Bale is inconsistent is either an idiot, an Arsenal fan or hasn't watched any football this season.

Wiltshire will be outstanding, but he hasn't peaked yet.

Apart from his goal, Bale was pretty anonymous today.

The goal that helped us win the game you mean? What more do you want? Should he start juggling flaming torches on the halfway line for your entertainment? FFS, 10 goals in 8 games & still people moan & groan!!

I don't see that as a moan, I see that as an observation, an accurate one!

I love comments like this. So apart from doing the one thing that actually means you can win a game he was anonymous.

I see.

Well, given you can't tell the difference between morning and evening it somewhat proves my point, does it not? wink
