Do you spell his name wrong on purpose to annoy the goons wink agree Wilshere had his worst game since coming back. Our whole midfield/defense and attack did in fact. hehe

I assume most of the pro Wilshere posts are jokes?

It is obviously Bale.

Bale was crap against Leeds, Byram shut him out of the game completly. Don't see what the big deal about him is. You don't see Messi and Ronaldo having issues against lower league clubs.

Spurs fan checking in.

Bale without a doubt but even if I was a neutral I'd say the same thing. He's been the most talked about player since Christmas and he's been st hot.

I'll admit that Wilshire is a good player and those who've tipped him as future England captain are probably not wrong but the bloke is still a fking in the John Terry mould. He believes his own hype, he thinks he's hard as nails and gets involved in business that isn't his on the pitch. I really can't stand the bloke.

I doubt you'll find a Spurs fan that likes Wilshire. In fact, I doubt you'll find a Spurs fan that doesn't hate him. I can tolerate a lot of Arsenal players (even Walnut).

Bale's three years older than Wilshere and the latter is just comin back from having lost an entire season to injury...so even I they were of the same ability you would expect Bale to be better.

Were people talking about Bale in the same way they are talking about Wilshere now ? No.

So we won't know the answer for a whole. That said if you care to look at a recording of an 18yr old Jack Wilshere going toe to toe and looking every bit the part against Xavi, Iniesta et al you'll understand he's more than a bit special. Yes I am an Arsenal fan but he's the player that can do for England what no player has done for a looooong time.

Wilshere for me.

Bale has some highlight reel moments for sure, but Wilshere would be the more important player for the team overall.

wilshere for me too! One of the best loan players we have had at bolton and like has already been said, he isn't a goal scorer, he is much more than that.

Anyone who says Bale doesnt understand football. Wilshere was running the show yesterday, his first touch and passing were exceptional, Bale is nowhere near that standard. Yes he scored and he took his goal well that doesnt make him the better player. Bale for example misplaced 40% of his passes and only 1/7 crosses found a Spurs player.

I was in the company of a Liverpool youth team coach today and asked him the question, and he said Wilshere is by far the better player.

Nailing my colours to the mast - and they are white and blue.

I would have Bale ahead of Wilshire every time. Not because I don't rate Wilshire, I think he is a good young player, and has some promise. Bale is delivering now though.

The other reason I would have Bale ahead of Wilshire, is that we have a player that is better than Wilshire already. To get another player better than Bale, means Ronaldo or Messi, and we aren't going to get them.

The question should have been - Wilshire or Sandro?

I would pick Sandro.

Different players. Wilshere is more talented but Sandro is an exceptional DM. More interceptions and tackles than anyone in a major European league this year until he got injured. Huge player.

What a player is like on the field is far from what there like in real life I'd assume. Ive said before when i go see a football match im nothing like i am outside of the stadium. I'm sure id be embarrassed of my actions if someone showed me a video, but i along with many others get caught up in the moment. why would it be any different for the players? When jack was on twitter he got involved with a young lad called Jack Marshall. story is here:

Not the actions of someone who's a IMHO.

Heres a few comments from spurs fans on the story (the majority praising him)

http://tinyurl.com/bp3y24p

Im sure there's been many stories involving footballers who have done some great things, shame it doesn't get more attention instead of the fights/Drink Driving/affairs that seem to dominate the papers.
