I had a ticket for tonight and had to cancel last minute.... glad I did with that result. Did we play well, or was it a lot of passing around with no final ball?
Just back from the gme...we were garbage in the first half. Ramsey and Ozil in particular hit some shocking passes. looked a bit better second half in front of a massed Swanswa defence but in one of those ways that only Arsenal can they pushed for the three points too much when a point would have been a much better result with Citeh's better goal difference. A draw and second place was in our own hands....we now need Citeh to slip up. Schoolboy.

fking unreal, football is a of a sport at times!
Yet another turn up going against the grain of current form!

The lack of consistent form in the Premiership this season with many shock results time and again going against the form has been excessive.

Is it any wonder when all these "Fabulous" Premiership teams do so well rolleyes in competitions with their equivalents in European Leagues.

Man. City, Liverpool, Arsenal have all been guilty of yo-yo form creating poor results. What happened to Spurs and a few others? Even the 1-1 Scoreline with Chelsea and Liverpool was not a true reflection of season form.

All very disappointing.

Well, what do you expect when our fans we're shouting 'boring boring Chelsea' a few weeks ago, and yet, Chelsea did exactly what we was needed, and exactly what we should have done - but didn't...yet again. banghead

Pleased that Fabianski showed what a fantastic keeper he is on his return to Arsenal.

Thank feck for that, first 55 mins were poor beyond belief but either Manure ran out of steam or we finally seemed to realise that third and two weeks extra holiday might be a good idea. Girouds finishing was yet again horse st. If he'd taken the two chances he had we could have nicked that. I had a feeling we'd get something the second DeGea went off.

A decent result yesterday but we seemed to again struggle to impose our game on rivals. I think this really highlights the need for a midfield powerhouse as good as Cazorla and Coquelin have been this season.

Our game is about quick passing and movement and on too many occasions this season we've barely got started in games. I fail to understand why this issue continues to re-occur. Having said, I feel the same about a lot of issues to be honest.

It's a shame Welbeck couldn't have been used yesterday, we need more pace in the centre forward position. Giroud doesn't have any pace and frankly his finishing just isn't good enough. I'm now of the view we need a powerful and quick centre forward in addition to the players we already have rather instead of.

So, where as before I felt we needed a keeper and midfielder this summer, I've now come to the conclusion reluctantly we need another centre forward.

Let's get third place sown up against Sunday and then we can rest as many as possible for West Brom. Frankly, if we get a result on Wednesday I'll happily sacrifice the points on Saturday.

Can't disagree with any of that Alfa...Giroud's lack of pace really showed a couple of times yesterday. Midfield two in 2015-6 will I think (if fit) consist of J Wilshere and A.N. Other whether that is The Coq or someone else to play in that position I am not sure. Love Santi as a player but Wilshere carries the ball and asks different questions. Wenger said recently that JW needs TWO YEARS without injury before we see him at his potential level such has been the injury blight....sure there's a lot of protecting the player but when you think of Ramsey maybe not so mad. Souness was creaming his pants post match about Ramsey yesterday.

Terrible first half but last year that would have turned into terrible result.

His brother Waista is doing well at Liverpool this season.

Linked on Arseblog this morning. Wenger asked about Mourinho's stupid comments after the West Brom game. Made me chuckle.

What a crock of st. Utterly clueless when it comes to breaking down a team defending deep with numbers behind the ball. Watch us struggle with more of the same a week on Saturday. rolleyes

Woeful tonight. Quite how Walcott and Rosicky were not starting tonight was a mystery - seemed like the perfect opportunity tbh. Ozil looked way off the pace tonight and Cazorla and Ramsey were poor. Lack of runs off the ball a big problem - Too much slow, sideways tikka takka cr@p. Going to be more of the same for our next two games too a fear.....

I just can't see all the fuss about Ozil. I've seen a lot of Arsenal games this season, albeit on the TV, and he seems to be a handbrake to your attacking intentions at times. He was awful at times tonight... couldn't pick a pass and his two shots showed an awful technique for someone who cost £42 million.

Just saving our form for the cup final? Right?

Pretty poor tonight, against a side who you really couldn't blame for playing the way they did..
