I hope Evra and Ferdinand stay for another year, don't want too much experience out the door all at once. Far less playing time but they have a lot of knowledge to pass on.
Similar to when Fergie dropped a bk and let Stam go, he brought in Blanc, who was past it on the pitch but taught the young lads a hell of a lot.

I still to this day think Ferguson knew about Stam's drug use and dumped him no questions asked.Similar to when Fergie dropped a bk and let Stam go, he brought in Blanc, who was past it on the pitch but taught the young lads a hell of a lot.
as you say, Blanc's inclusion was more telling off the pitch. A real student of the game.

I can see the benefit in Evra and Rio staying for the experience but that should have been the case a year or two ago, especially when we bought the likes of Jones and Smalling in but it wasn't and now they're not good enough anymore and we need to buy in more replacements. I think they just need go, even if it's not great to begin with it can't be much worse/slower than it is now.
Plus I can't see either staying on for very limited playing time (maybe Rio for coaching I guess) especially when we can free up some of the wage bill.

Fair point I remember being gutted when Ince, Hughes and Kanchelskis all went but that didn't turn out to badly!I think they just need go, even if it's not great to begin with it can't be much worse/slower than it is now.
