Mourinho is a short term solution for any club. Bring him in, within 2 years you'll have a couple or three trophies and bam, he's gone.

No stability, no future, just an amazing ability to make a team gel in the short term.

Don't ask me why but I've got a strange feeling that Giggs will still be our manager come the start of next season with Maulensteen and G Nev behind him....

Hope so. Better than some foreign mercenary.

Is Ryan Giggs supposed to be continuing to play next season onwards?

If so, it could be awkward between him and whoever comes in on a permanent basis on account of him being given the interim role.

Glad Moyes got put out of his misery, it would only have got worse for him personally the longer it went on. You feel like Utd could have done better this season with no manager at all, all he did was confuse the players (and himself) and disrupt any latent cohesion and motivation.

Can't see it being awkward. Giggs probably knows he needs someone to learn off and being properly groomed to take over would be best for all.

The support inside the stadium for Moyes was very very good, until the last couple of weeks when it's been noticeable that the "Come on David Moyes..." song has been conspicuous by it's absence.
Are you sure the support from Moyes wasn't coming from the away fans? It's a damn shame he didn't get a few more seasons im(totally unbiassed)o.

Does united have enough cash available to attract a really big manager, who will want a promise of at least 100 million to spend on basically a whole new team? And would 100 million actually be enough? Given no champions league money for a season or possibly two?

Or will a permanent position for someone like Giggs signal that they don't actually have a huge pot to spend?

And what will you think will be left of the o so great PL without "foreign mercenaries" (coaches and players)

And then I haven't even mentioned foreign money.......

Think before you act.

Tbh ferguson got out at the right time. Ageing squad and a number of average players. That won't win the premiership these days. Even if he did get 100 mil to spend in new players. Reckon the club will still struggle..

Sorry just don't rate WR, never have. He's no centre forward that's for sure..when he had speed. he was decent enough but that was a long time ago..

Would be interesting to hear from supporters how many truly world class players they think Man U currently have. I look at the squad and can only really identify RVP and Mata, with De Gea and Rooney at a push on the right day, with the wind in the right direction.

There's a lot of rebuilding required, that's for sure.

Will the financial fair play rules hinder spending sprees?

He'd need a bloody big push IMO. Could anyone honestly say he'd make a world team starting XI ? No, thuoght not.

I'd be struggling to name him in a reserve World XI!

Every time I watch him, he either passes square balls which drives me mad or loses it. Anyone that gets hair implants from his arse to his heed is questionable..
