Unless he actually wants to play football, which he'll probably do more of at Spurs than either of those teams!
If he wants to play football he could go to Accrington Stanley as well.

A rarity in footballers nowdays unfortunately, Modern football is all about the £££

They left Chelsea to find football in Lancashire, no? That was the comparison that you were making.

People say "that's modern football" but realistically it hasn't changed. Some players will chase the cash at whatever footballing outcome and others will hunt for first team football. The best players and money have been intrinsically linked for a very long time.

For example, when they put a wage cap in top flight English football years ago, clubs would have that top player on the books for club shop and all sorts just to pay them more.

The numbers are bigger now - sure - but it's always been money oriented.

So in typical Spurs style there is a video of Ben Davies training with the squad in the US on the website...

But we are yet to formally announce the signing.

He'd be a good signing.

What's happened to Lamela....is he fit for the new season ? He needs to start the season really well....you'd hope having a compatriot for a manager will help a lot.
Lamela is back fit he will come good this season I've no doubt at all.

So it looks like the Davies and Vorm deals are almost sorted...pretty happy about them actually.

Not big money spent, 2 areas that needed attention.

Rose wasn't going to do anything and was a bit of a liability.

Our sub GK is ancient and hasn't ventured out of the 6 yard box in about 3 seasons.

Talking of decent strikers, do we know if Ade is going to bless us with his presence this season.

I'm really looking forward to watching Eriksen this year - think he could be massive for us.

yes he's a class act.

I just hope Poch doesn't fk about with his position like Sharewood did. Play him through the middle not out wide on the left.

Ade now has an excuse whether he turns up or not, not that he ever needed one in the past... get rid, cant stand him.

I'm still very suspicious about the Vorm signing, Why would he not want first team football ?

If Hugo is staying then why do we need him, i just think there is something sinister about this, i hope i'm wrong but that would be a rare thing wink

We need him because Friedel is 43 and doesn't provide Lloris with any competition at all. You need to have quality back up in all positions.

Also, Levy is obviously very aware that we have one of the top 3 keepers in the world at the moment, so there will always be the threat of him leaving.
