What a difference 12 months make. Last year we were sneered at for our attempts to sign Suarez, 12 months later and you're hero has fked off to Spain and we signed the player you coveted most this summer. What has John W Henry got to say for himself now?
You come across as a bit of a tool with the above post tbh ! If you can't see the benefit of him staying last year, getting us 2nd ,then getting 75m for him rather than 40m you need to lay off the beer curlie467 said:

Did I suggest you weren't better off by keeping him and pocketing an extra £35m? No
I'm referring to the fact you've lost your best player, failed to get the player you clearly targeted and are now scrabbling around trying to find suitable additions to your squad to compensate for the lost of a very talented player. It's a little ironic.
It appears Remy has a heart defect.

"I am a bit bothered but it's my health and of course it's something that needs to be looked into. It's just a shame that these tests weren't available before. I had to come to a club like Marseille to get more thorough tests." The player did however admit that this heart problem had been observed before: "It's something that was discovered a few years ago. After that, I'm not sure if there was a clear change between the moment of discovery and now. For me, it's nothing to be alarmed about. It needs to be taken care of but I'm not so worried that I'm thinking I'm going to end my career".

And had Suarez upgraded by coming down south last season he'd be leaving Englnd with a FA Cup and Premier League Champions medal round his neck.
Bet his kicking himself at what could have been.
I don't think so. If he had went to you lot last season he wouldn't be playing for Barcelona this coming season he would be playing for Man City.Bet his kicking himself at what could have been.

These things happen in the football transfer market, not every one of your targets will want to come, that is life.
It isn't ironic and we aren't scrabbling around. BR has a plan, possibly.

Suso been offered new contract
Makes sense, give him a chance if he don't make it we get decent few for him
Really happy about this. Think the lad has a great attitude and genuinely wants to succeed in a Liverpool shirt. Got a lot of potential, just needs to put some good performances in when he gets the chance. Makes sense, give him a chance if he don't make it we get decent few for him

The Remy deal is still bothering me for some reason
Can't quite put a finger on it, just feels a bit cold, like it's bad business and that's that, door closed on the lad.
Doesn't seem very Liverpool to me.
Football is a business. Simple as that. What business would shell out £8M on an asset that they know to be flawed? Can't quite put a finger on it, just feels a bit cold, like it's bad business and that's that, door closed on the lad.
Doesn't seem very Liverpool to me.
Harsh but that's the reality.

12m for Agger according to that....
If we had sold Borini 14m and Assaidi 7m with Suarez at 75m that would have been £108m in this year!!!!!!!!!
'Rumours' we had 50m to spend too... so a potential £158m
That is without selling Reina or Lucas
