Be amazed if true. What a waste.
In a way it is quite refreshing. Here is a player still being touted by the top clubs in Europe, had quite a few opportunities to leave Liverpool being linked to Milan quite a number of years back and Barca as recently as last month. He is obviously wanting to go back home and it would seem to me for the right reasons. To be closer to his family, to play for his boyhood club whilst still in his prime. Money has consigned loyalty and morals in football to the proverbial dustbin - so it's a nice surprise to have a player who is making the right choice for the right reasons. If Barca et al were really after him, he wouldn't be thinking of Brondby.
However he apparently has invested significantly in a local business, so maybe he wants to be overseeing that as well, as that'll be his post football income.
Sad to see him go but there had to be a shake up in that back four. Would have liked him to go on to one of the clubs he was linked with such as Napoli or Barca to continue to play at the highest levels but maybe this move will help protect himself from the injuries that have marred his career and are a better fit with his personal needs away from football.
The squad has seen a huge overhaul in the last couple of seasons. Hopefully we can get another couple of last minute quality additions and one or two in January, too, if things are progressing well.

Shame Agger has gone but pleased he's gone home. 3 million is very low but because of where he's chosen to go its understandable.
Makes the signing of Sakho seem strange though. Spend the best part of 40 million for 2 centre backs that play on one side and only have Skrtel and Toure on the other. Hopefully we'll be buying a decent centre back in January.

Looks like Remy off to Chelsea. I'll be interested to see how he gets on. I understand why Liverpool pulled out of the deal, but I can't help feeling he's value at 8m.
Would have been nice to have signed him AND Balotelli.Don't care about Utd, City dropping 3 points is rather interesting though!

Never felt right to me not buying Remy, and I think it will come back to bite us.If Chelsea can see the value, and take the risk then why not us?
Sturridge
Baloteli
Remy
Lambert
Would have been happy with that!
