I think Ivory Coast are the dark horses. If they get Yaya playing his best role with a solid midfielder in cover, like Tiote, they could do well. Then they have Gervinho who has been brilliant at Roma and Bony who is in form, plus the likes of Drogba, Kalou, Eboue and more. They lack a great defence but they do have a lot of experienced players that can lift them.
Belguim is a good semi final shout.
hard to look past Brasil as hosts and favourites tbh....
news this morning that Suarez has a knee injury - he is obviously crying off at the prospect of Glen Johnson's defending
england second round exit (probably on penalties).
PS big raps to the U17s last night - crikey they looked strong fit and fast against the dutch it was a bit one-sided at times, england looked very good indeed going forward.

Luis Suarez and Diego costa could be out.
Suarez needs a minor knee opp apparently, lets hope it goes well for him.He reminds me of a modern day artful dodger with that lovely cheeky chappie persona he has. The world cup will miss him if he doesn't make it , I know i will

At least if Suarez is out you can take solace in watching your teams strikers at the WC...oh wait, hang on...
I'd much rather see them on the beach with their feet up to be honest.Pommygranite said:
It is good. Would be great if the matches were clickable for extra info, team details etc. Maybe it will nearer the time.TwigtheWonderkid said:
Brazil will do nothing, over rated in my view and short of options up front. Naymar is crap. Plus pressure of expectation. Argentina to win it, or Belgium as an outside bet.
Argentina have a much easier route to the final than brazil do if the results go as expected . I can't see any European team winning it in south America tbh.Edited by Black can man on Thursday 22 May 13:39
