WIth an air temperature of 31 degrees plus and a stadium built to resemble a glass house with no air flow, England will do well to not run out of steam against a team from the equatorial region that is Panama.

Supposed to be a bloody winter sport FFS.
We will be three nil up before we even get a sweat on.

Let's keep it real, chaps.
3-0 would be a decent score against Panama. Anything more would exceed expectations imo, including qualifying from the group.

At home for the game.

Somewhat hungover after the village BBQ at 4pm ended in the pub at 2 am.

So Sterling starts.

WT actual F!

I keep reading stuff that they have to dance around issues with him and don't want to affect his fragile confidence if he isn't picked.

I don't give a st. Outcome is all I care about and if being dropped means he goes and cries in a cave for the rest of his life, then he's in the wrong game.

I think I must be the only one that would be happy to see Sterling start.

There are players that almost NEVER play well for England, however good their club form. Sterling is one such player.
I think it's because he can only function when Pep tells him exactly what to do. Southgate treats him like a (fragile) adult. Mistake.

Rashford to come on as Sterling's replacement, and score the winner in a 1-0 win, is my prediction.

I wonder how many times has Sterling been subbed when starting for England?

Sapping heat, getting tired towards the end....and then you see Rashford come on. If I was a Panama full back I would feign injury rather than face a fresh speed demon coming at me!

Lull the opposition in to a false sense of security by making them believe they are playing 10 men and then sub him for someone useful?

I'll be the happiest man on the planet if Sterling plays well and gets a couple.

I'd it's 34 degrees why is Sterling playing? We need someone with tricks and vision. Not a runner.

No water breaks. Obviously they would benefit England more than Panama...

FIFA really hate us.

Everyone hates us. Comes from ruling lots of the known world at one point.

fk 'em. Success through adversity is always sweeter.

Will be interesting to see if VAR smiles on us this time.

Why am I so nervous ffs it's only a group game, can you imagine what it'd be like if we got to the quarters?
