Entertaining as always between us lot! Gutted to concede so late, but considering how st Arsenal were its not a bad point.
It was inevitable. We stank, absolutely terrible. We are disorganised, we don't have any tactical awareness, leadership, we have nothing absolutely nothing. We were arguably worse than last year, the difference as has been said was the lack of a striker for Liverpool. We've played poorly in a big game again and made exactly the sake mistakes again. Sorry Liverpool you should have beaten us out of sight today.

very fair of youSorry Liverpool you should have beaten us out of sight today.
staggering stats
27 attempts v 7
10 on target v 3
65 / 35 possession - the lowest Arsenal number since Opta started in 2003
if we had a quality striker on it would have been brutal

I don't know how we get rid of Wenger but conceding 10 would help, it would be very painful in the short term but anything, I'll almost accept anything to get rid of him I'm desperate to see the back of him. staggering stats

I love it! Just what football is all about, the drama at the end when Skrtel scored ha ha!

Martin fking Skrtel!!
Overall though I thought Skrtel was one of our worst players. Alongside Lucas - another very poor game from him.
I thought Lazar was one of our best players, along with Sterling. Though Jones again had a good game, not amazing but more confidence inspiring than Mignolet.
You're just seeing what you want. Lazer did have a better game, it was night and day by his past performances but Lucas had at least a good game. Arsenal failed to carve us up once.
In the end a point isn't good enough, wasting your most talented player as a centre forward is stupid and the defence remains comedy. BWB is just making it up as he's going along and his inability to sort the defence out will cost him his job. The opposition team have a corner that might as well be the equivalent of a penalty.

64% possession, 27 shots against a team who keep the ball well would say that from attacking/style of play pov brendan is adjusting to lack of strikers and developing a pretty reasonable way of playing - poor defence not withstanding.
I do agree. However what he and his coaching staff have failed to do is really coach the midfield in shooting practice, never mind coaching the defence. Couthinho, Henderson, Sterling etc all miss way too many chances blazing over the bar or firing wide. They did last season and nothing has changed this season. Really frustrating watching that these players haven't improved their striking. Improve the defence (inc. goalkeeper) and improve the scoring ability of the midfield and we will be a match for anyone. Throw in a quality striker and we would be near the top 3.RedTrident said:
What game were you watching? Lucas played really well and their 2 goals came from the typical defensive stupidity and a crazy Hollywood pass from Gerrard that caught Henderson out of position.

Don't let the two runs/scuffed shots he had into their area mislead you. You're just seeing what you want. Lazer did have a better game, it was night and day by his past performances but Lucas had at least a good game. Arsenal failed to carve us up once.

He let a number of players just run past him or put in half-hearted tackles. He was one of the three players who were out-jumped for the three headers that led to their first goal. He was very weak on corners. His passing was also poor.
Gerrard wasn't great again. At times he was just as poor as Lucas, but at times he showed glimpses of how talented he was.

Well our idiot manager has just claimed we played better than the 5-1 last season, the pitch was poor and we got the result in the end. Outstanding he reckons. He's deluded.
Yes right. I can't believe you don't think your team were outstanding today. Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
