We needed to sign a striker this window. Our build up play and defence have been great for the last 6 weeks but we have only scored a handful of goals.
It's simple. Buy goals.
This season has shown we can't rely on Sturridge due to injury and we don't have goals anywhere else
Cant see out coming in Jan - so many mangers say how Jan is bad for strikers It's simple. Buy goals.

We got lucky with Luis one year though
For me if it meant getting it right I would wait till the summer - if something comes up great but dont panic buy like we did with Mario

fine work GR, I had to double-take and laugh when I read this, from a cross section of friends and acquaintances there is a clear dislike for one club over all others, and it's not LFC
I think your memory is a little short. I know it's not a competition, but LFC are a horrible club. The Suarez t-shirt gate summed them up. Edited by GloverMart on Thursday 29th January 12:40

Anyone else think this Transfer Window has been really poor? Not just from Liverpool's "dealings" but from all the other teams in general. January is not ideal for anyone, no one really wants to sell, perhaps it needs scrapping altogether?!
Totally, also should not be allowed legallytype-r said:

Yeah it seems to have been a total non event this time. I bet Sky are desperately hoping it all kicks off on the final day - otherwise their dramatic stories and whatnot will be...non existent...I think we were a bit stuffed this window, Everyone knows we need another Striker, so had we gone for any of the big names "available" the price would have gone up by a fair few million I dare say.
So we need to look at DS coming back as our Jan signing and push to get top 4( and hopefully some silverware ).
Then get a new striker in in the summer.
All IMHO

You are a rather boring and odious troll. Please kindly sod off. We got nothing against banter with supporters of other teams, but your efforts at banter, if we can call it that, are frankly derisory.
Let's just ignore him (now he has nicely demonstrated my point) and hopefully he will crawl back under his rock.Balotelli - I know it's probably futile and I am being foolish - but am I the only one who gets a bit excited when he comes on, thinking he has a spark somewhere inside him to do something special?

They're not doing the chaos outside the training grounds anymore after the sex doll and dildo shenanigans last time. Adam B said:

He still has something... While he isn't suited to our style of play, his confidence must be rock bottom - 10 minute cameos at the end of games is not going to get anything from him. That's the only reason why I can imagine he came on with 30 mins to go. If you don't give him a chance at this stage of the season then so the boss you're effectively saying that you're finished here. The only way his confidence is going to increase is with playing time and goals.

So I heard. But it will be interesting seeing Jim White froth at the mouth in the studio trying to winch up the excitement and tension...and go around to each reporter and find nothing but a few reserves and youngsters heading off on loan to Rochdale or Airdieonians.Flip Martian said:
