Nice, top of the leaque, Depay finally scoring, City losing it.

Strange leaque so far. A Chelsea draw tonight would be fitting.

PSV - Ajax 1995; a midst of a decade when Dutch club football still meant something; 5 European Cups (2x Cl), a CL final, 2 World club teams cups and a CL semi final, etc.

Now, 20 years later, it's the Mickey Mouse Leaque.

Yup, his hair got better (hair transplants), the Football got worse.

And Chelsea a draw it is, 8 points behind already; Chelsea's out of the title race ??

Given Arsenals subscription for 3/4th spot, leaves ManU and City for 1st and 2nd...

Not bad.

Way too early for 8 points to be decisive at this stage of the season. We've swung 6 point against stty over 2 games. But Chelski's form doesn't look great.

Going to be a strange season.

Slow and ponderous today in the first half but Sunderland had every man behind the ball and the time wasting was appalling. I can't help but think if LVG swapped Rooney and Mata we'd be far more effective. Lots of moaning around me in the crowd about LVGs methodical approach. Not sure I agree folk forget so soon how badly we used to start under Fergie.

On a positive note, we've seem to have got a gem in Martial. He didn't score today but he's got magic feet and gets the crowd up every time he gets the ball. Looks a real talent.

Oh and edit to add.

Top of the league

So glad we took advantage today. There's been too many times we've folded over and not capitalised.

Top weekend. And it's freshers. thumbup

Carrack and schneiderlin are too similar too each other to complement one another ,Herrera or swine should play alongside one of them .
Very good second half though ,next 5 or 6 games will show us the true quality of this team .
Arse away,Everton away, city home, palace away ,Wolfsburg home ...good test.

Isn't that the point though? Two defensive midfielders that allow both "wing backs" to break forwards without leaving a fairly new central defence pairing some support?

Width is great, especially if played at pace, but you still need a threat from the centre just to leave the opposition with nowhere to relax.
