I think fat is a bit stong. He's a thick set young lad and had been put on a specific programme over the summer. He's stuck to it and it's paid off. Similar to Rooney build wise. Neither are carrying a paunch but clearly put weight on easily.
He was embarrassingly chubby last season, and I cannot help but agree that there really is no excuse. A tiny bit of professional pride really ought to be enough to keep a footballer ripped all the time. See, for example,e Paul Scholes in his day - never a runner, never thought of as a strong player, but not a pound of fat on him.It would really worry to me to see someone come back from the summer as chubby as Shaw was. And it did worry LvG.

I'd take muller - he's world class imho....robben prob past his absolute best and ageing o/seas players coming into the prem...might not be great value for money - see passim RVP as example one season then crocked / under par let RVP go imho asap. as for di maria...if there is a chance to recoup say £40-45m i'd take that right now....

And I'd take the stance that you are a bit mental. Seriously, Di Maria was outstanding for Real Madrid the season he came to us. Then after his transfer he started well, had a few injuries and dropped off. He wasn't on form for a player of his calibre but I wouldn't sell him this summer at all.

I love the way they call it a swoop as if it's some kind of bargain and they are knicking him off someone else.......oh wait, nobody else thinks he's worth any where near that amount
Couldn't be happening to two better clubs
My thoughts exactly, although were I City seeing this is be inclined to say 40m offer still stands, take it or leave it.Couldn't be happening to two better clubs

£40M?
Wouldn't have him at OT for 40 quid!
Oh for sure, when it comes to it between him and Memphis, I'd choose Memphis 8 days a week.Wouldn't have him at OT for 40 quid!
What I meant more is that this has weakened Liverpool's hand. They had rejected 40m from City and were expecting an improved bid or they would make him stay and that would be that. Now they are faced with a player maybe doing a Tevez and disruption of pre season and a bad mood in the camp. Were I City I'd now feel more inclined to say fk it 40m take or leave it.
Unhappy players can be turned round though. City did it with Toure, we did it with Rooney. Having said that this has sufficient hallmarks of a greedy agent looking for a big payday. I'm hoping it goes through and he disrupts the City dressing room.
Ironically, I think it'll make Liverpool a stronger team, if not a stronger / better side without him. Siege mentality amd all that.

If you think him doing that Keyser will suddenly make FSG whimper into a corner and accept 40m you are sadly wrong - there is no way they will allow a lad out of his teens to try and dictate what he is sold for - this is simply his agent telling him to refuse to go, the lad is under contract and we do not have to sell him. Every man and his dog knows that City need quality English players and this is the man they want and are crying out for on their right side.
He is on 35k a week at the moment - every week that passes of him being a tit is costing him 150k a week - City are reportedly happy to offer him 200k a week .

But Raheem has said himself ' it's not about the money " . Personally i think even at £35M he is well overpriced. He is on 35k a week at the moment - every week that passes of him being a tit is costing him 150k a week - City are reportedly happy to offer him 200k a week .

We both have opinions on the situation, neither are facts and we disagree, but you cannot know what FSG are thinking. He is on 35k a week at the moment - every week that passes of him being a tit is costing him 150k a week - City are reportedly happy to offer him 200k a week .
Until yesterday City didn't know how much of a fuss Sterling was willing to make, they now do. No one wants a player unsettling the squad, 40,42,45,50 I don't care much for the fee, but City do now know that he will create a massive fuss to get his way and that strengthens their hand, not yours

no man in the world thinks he is worth 50m but you keep missing the point - the english premium - you say he isnt worth 35m but then talk about Kane been worth 50m after 6 months ?? make your mind upm3sye said:

I'm not missing any point old boy.Kane is not worth £50M , i never said he is or was. I have said from the start that if any of the two big Manchester clubs are prepared to pay £50M then we should sell him.

Do you not think for 1 minute if they want him they would have said to his agent to tell him to refuse to go ???And what do you mean until yesterday they didnt know how much of a fuss he was willing to make?? have you missed what has gone on previous? the lad and his agent has been a grade A cock but that does not mean that us the selling club will now bow down to his demands and let him go for less than our club believe he is worth.
Imagine if every club started to lower their price just because a player starts to throw his toys out of the pram about wanting to leave. They are under contract and if they want to go they are sold for what the selling club wants, if no one hits that they stay.
Would give out the total wrong message to bow down to his tantrums, the lad needs to be professional then he may get his 'dream' move or should I say MASSIVE pay rise.

Exactly, and you wont find a single Liverpool fan who actually thinks on merit Sterling is worth 50m he is 30-35m tops then throw into the fact he is English and then a right winger and City want him if you were selling you would (as Levy would) put that to 50m Kane is not worth £50M , i never said he is or was.
