4231 with the right players isn't stupid. I personally don't think we've got the player for it right now but it's better than changing formations and players in formations every week.
I've watched Sturridge play since he arrived and I think in a 4231,whilst he isn't ideal, he's our best option. I don't think Benteke is dynamic enough to play 4231, particularly when you see that the 3 behind him are all intricate guile players rather than beat the man and cross the ball types.
Of the 3 behind the striker we have Firmino, Coutinho and Lallana and I think Milner also. All too similar and not enough goals there. We need at least one pacy player there that can be at his man with speed as well as guile.
The defensive 2 will be interesting. Can is clearly the future and may start there, particularly whilst Henderson is out. He'll start next to Lucas imo.
Back 4 picks itself with Lovren injured and Sakho clearly no longer overlooked to make room for the manager's player.
For 4231 to properly work for us I expect another fast dynamic striker, a pacy winger and a really strong defensive midfielder brought in over the next 2 windows.
Come back and quote me when this happens.

Part of that confirms what I was told the other day - we were having a 'meeting' with him again today .

Same quote as on the Sky report I mentioned then. No doubt talks will be ongoing every day, or at least most days. LFC officials to'ing and fro'ing back to the USA (emails/phone I mean, no planes!) to get approvals and guidance perhaps might slow things up a bit.Part of that confirms what I was told the other day - we were having a 'meeting' with him again today .
Actually ignore the last bit - wrote that before seeing it was a video meeting. Dortmund's Chief Exec is waxing lyrical about Klopp, about all his qualities - great relationships with players etc.

I don't think Firmino, Coutinho and Lallana have different playing styles. I think they're similar. The clever flick, intricate no 10 or drift in from the left type player. As for Ings and Origi. If your ambitions are the same as a Southampton or a Crystal Palace I'm sure they're fine. Ings is a solid premier league squad player, nothing more. Origi needs games and I doubt he'll get them here.
When Sturridge gets injured there simply isn't enough goals in this team.
Klopp will sort it. I'm fully supportive of bringing in a manager that has competed at the highest level.

And Ibe.
Have you seen him this season? I like the lad and genuinely think he has the makings of being better than Sterling. But I've seen very very little end product from anything he has done of late. Maybe if he's actually played regularly in his preferred position we'll see the best of him. Now that's a novel idea

I agree, He needs games definitely but he certainly has pace and likes taking his man on.Maybe if he's actually played regularly in his preferred position we'll see the best of him. Now that's a novel idea
Hopefully as you sat he will get chance in his preferred role.
Didi Hamann said it will come down to whether Klopp believes the squad is good enough to work with. If he does - he'll come. If he doesn't; he won't. He is also, apparently, a really good guy for bringing on and developing players. His number 2 is apparently recognised widely as a tactical genius, by all accounts. So RT, if they do come, please bear this in mind when you rip the tactics to shreds after a a few poor performances

I don't know whether that bodes well or not, we may think we have a reasonable squad but there are a lot of opposing fans who think it is a terrible squad.I have a strange feeling, I don't know why but I just think he will turn us down.
